My daughter and I booked a walk with Brandon Lennon, and his dad, Ian, also came along. There was a family with 4 young children, and our guides were very patient with them. It was great to have such knowledgeable experts to help us identify what we found. They provided sieves and shovels, too, for all of us. If I... More

We had a lovely fossil hunt lead by Nigel Clarke last Sunday. We have two boys, 7 and 3, and Nigel made the walk interesting for the children and for us, adults, too. We found loads of fossils, which the boys have set up into a 'museum' as soon as we got home. Would thoroughly recommend a guided walk with... More

We had a fantastic time with our guide Brandon Lennon hunting for fossil on the beach. His knowledge made both children and adults amazed by the stories he told. The Fossil bags he handed out in the beginning of the walk where filled with our fossil treasures. We stayed out hunting until the tide turned. Time just flew. The Fossil... More

We met Brandon down on the beach near the clock. He knows the history and the geology of the area and made it enjoyable right from the beginning. We walked along the beach until we came to an area where we given a fossil collecting bag, a small scoop and a sieve. Brandon was encouraging and knowledgeable. Once we ready... More

We went fossil hunting on Monmouth beach to the west and at the Charmouth end of Lyme Regis. You do not have to have special equipment to find fossils as sometimes you can see ammonites in various forms just laying on the surface. Pick a spot on the beach and sift through the pebbles there are many fragments of fossils... More

That sounds silly but the walk leaders will tell you the same. After a good winter storm more fossils are exposed from the cliffs and you have a better chance of finding something exceptional. However, they make certain that you will see plenty and always have something for the little ones to take home. Wear good shoes and be prepared... More

Arranged a fossil walk for my family including 3 kids. Went to the appointed meeting place at noon after a drive of almost 2 hours. No one showed up. Eventually got hold of Nigel who told me he got the time wrong. Thought it was 10am after email and confirmation plainly said noon. Could not rearrange anything on the day... More

I sincerely apologise for the inconvnience caused. Unfortunately I was unable to contact you or receive your call earlier as there was no telephone signal where I was on the beach that morning in Lyme Regis. While on route to meet you my motorbike did break down and by the time I could contact you, another walk could not be... More

We both had a brilliant day out even though it was bought as my Christmas present!!! The weather was pretty rubbish but it didn't spoil our day and we found lots of fossils that are now displayed on the kitchen window sill. Chris was an excellent teacher and I would love to do it again in better weather.
