We booked a private fossil hunt with Brandon Lennon. Worth every penny, wonderful day with an amazing expert fossil hunter whose passion kept a middle aged couple and young son inspired and enthusiastic to return. If you want a buzz, fresh air, and a seriously new topic of conversation when you are back in the office - spend time with... More

One of the reasons we had visited Lyme Regis was for the fossils. We booked in advance as we had seen some walks were full. In the morning our guide Paddy arrived and we set off towards the beach along the seawall. Before starting Paddy gave us a talk about the history of the area and showed us some of... More

Booked for the walk with Paddy at the Museum, and had free Museum entrance with the walk ticket. Times vary, depending on the tides. Paddy explained that after a patch of very sunny weather and the summer season of fossil hunters trawling the beach, we were setting off at the worst time to find much - but his explanations were... We arranged a fossils walk and talk with Nigel which only cost £5 each. We all learnt so much, thanks Nigel. However I do recommend you purchase at least one small hammer and mask for exploring, we didn't and by the time you are at the far end of the beach and realise you need one it's a long trek... More

Learning about geology and fossils could be pretty dry in a classroom setting, but on the sea-front at Lyme Regis, the double-act of Chris and Paddy ensure that you'll appreciate a lot more about the local geography and natural history at the end of the walk. Both are enthusiastic, humorous and fabulous communicators, very entertaining, very knowledgeable and so the... More

This was the most fun we've had in years! When do 60 year olds get to play in the San with plastic buckets and spades on the beach and not be thought weird? Brandon is a great guide and during the trip he taught us so much about fossils and geology and we even came away with good examples of... More

I wanted to try fossil hunting so going with Brandon and Ian meant that we were taken to the right place and shown different techniques so we all found at least one fossil. Brandon and Ian were very informative and never tired of answering questions. Even my teenage son got into the spirit and found a beautiful amenite. It was... More

We had such a lovely couple of hours with the friendly and knowledgeable Nigel C. Went with our 7 and 5 year old boys, and he was brilliant with them and the other young boy in the group. He engaged them, quizzed them and they learnt lots about fossils and fossil hunting. They were extremely keen to show him every... More

There are various different guides in this area but we chose Braandon Lennon and his retired geologist father Ian who were both enthusiastic and fantastic guides. Some other guides are charging a lot of money but this was great value for me and my 2 little boys. They were kept busy all morning and returned with a bag full of... More
