Cinema as it used to be

This cinema offers a traditional and old fashioned service and a family ticket for the stalls is good value at £17.50. The only criticism from our visit was it was a little chilly.

We love Lyme's little cinema. OK - it could do with a lick of paint inside in places....but hey; it is just wonderful to sit inside somewhere that has probably changed very little in the past 70+ years. Staff friendly, traditional array of goodies on sale...and shows always on time. Also show older classics from time to time which is... More

I hope Lyme never gets rid of this cinema! I love the staff and the vibe when you go in there! Only downside is that they never have new films in when they are released they always have them 3 weeks after (some times longer) and by that time I have gone elsewhere! Need to be more up to date!

An original Art Deco cinema, not messed around to achieve smaller studios. Comfortable seats, good timings for films, friendly team in support. Totally delightful way of seeing new and Classic films

Beautiful 1930's cinema, great film programme to suit all tastes, NT Live,Art house, block busters, kids films, Royal Ballet etc. Double seats in the circle with little tables - if it had a bar too it would be perfect! All the Volunteer next door is just fine for a pre movie drink! Amazing value too.

We live very close to this cinema and consider ourselves very privileged to be able to see films soon after general release in such a small town.

Great little art deco cinema at the top of the hill in Lyme Regis, dont expect a 10litre bucket of coke here, this little place has class and bags of old fashioned charm, worth supporting.

I managed to avoid seeing any ads as they are shown with the principle evening film not at the 5.20 or at the Thursday seniors film. Seats are reserved except wisely at the seniors show, as there is nobody to ensure they are observed. Prices are reasonable and the £3.50 seniors includes tea, coffee and biscuits. The cinema is a... We visited while on holiday on a dull afternoon. It's a lovely place to while away a few hours if the weather is inclement during the day.
