We opted for the three hour Deep Sea fishing trip and were certainly not disappointed. Having read the fantastic reviews we were sure to give this a go on our short break to Lyme Regis. Matt was friendly, funny and informative and made everyone feel comfortable during the trip. We managed to catch whiting, pollock and mackerel which was eaten... More

We were lucky enough to have warm weather, clear water and smooth sea state. We did the 3 hour deep sea trip which involved fishing on various wrecks with boat rods. We caught lots of fish and had a great time. I don't recall the captain's name but he was a legend - it wasn't Harry as he was out... More

Hi Dave Very glad you enjoyed the deep sea fishing so much, the skipper's name was Matt and I know he puts in so much effort into making it a good trip for everyone. When the day is as you described, calm and warm, I don't think there's a better place to be on this earth than out there at... More

Forget the long day boat charters, Matt our skipper took us straight to the fish within 10 minutes of leaving the harbour and was extremely knowledgeable and fun. Caught Pollock, Whiting, cod and the inevitable makeral - Thanks Harry

I really wanted a deep sea fishing experience and so for my 26th Birthday I decided to arrange a trip with my Dad and spend some time doing something I had never done before. I arranged the trip with Harry who was the first person I found on the internet and who also had the best reviews I could find!... More

As good, if not better than his billing, personable, knowledgeable, and above all patient with clumsy heavy handed types!!. We caught 12 between us, mores the pity I was staying in a hotel, next time going to go self catering so a great fish pie can be rustled up. Harry did also recommend a rather brilliant restaurant in Portland called... More

We had a cracking trip out in Lyme Bay yesterday. Harry is a lovely gent - a great teacher and good company. All our dealings with him whilst setting up the trip were faultless - he provides brilliant customer service. The trip was enjoyed by all - impressive given that we had a range of 'fishermen' in our group, from... More

Thank you Amy for that great review, it was a pleasure to take you all out and I think we'll be seeing Rosie and her dad out deep sea fishing before too long. Hope you had a great meal with those mackerel. Very best wishes Harry More

Had a really great experience with Harry May and his boat the Marie F on Sunday. Went with my partner for an hour's mackerel fishing. Only one other chap came too so we had a line each. Caught 20 fish between us! I've never fished before so it was a good introduction. Harry was very friendly, the fishing was great... More

Hello Jennifer Well my dear thank you very much for that review, I'm really glad you went round to see Matt at Herbies and got him to grill the mackerel for you. Straight out of the sea and cooked immediately is the way to eat mackerel and most people never get the chance to catch the fish of their fish... More

We have been on Mackerel and deep sea fishing trips with Harry. Harry is lovely, friendly and fun to be with whether you catch any fish or not! He has a good knowledge of the area and the fish. We have caught Pollack, Whiting, Mackerel and wrasse over several trips and been lucky enough to see jelly fish and dolphins.We... More

Hi Kevin Thank you very much for those words, that mackerel of yours was very early indeed! Since then we have had Easter with its incredible weather but not a lot of mackerel but people have enjoyed the calm seas and warm air, plus of course looking over the side and spotting the huge Barrel jelly fish that have invaded...
