The garden at the Garden House was new to us, but it is a lovely garden in April. The rhododendrums were gorgeous, and the remaining spring bulbs were lovely. It's a place worth visiting--it doesn't take a long time but it's worth the visit.

Visited with a coach party following recommendation in Great Gardens To Visit book. Not easy to negotiate narrow roads with coach but well signposted and well worth finding. Lovely laid out gardens ,friendly staff and a nice café.

We had this garden recommended by Byrony and Bertie at the Cider House B&B (wonderful) and they even provided a 2 for 1 entry pass for the Garden House. The gardens were really lovely. The rhododendrons were at their prime and the bluebells were also out in full force. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to... More

What an amazing garden !!!!!! Beautiful flowers and kept so tidy. Lots of little pathways to venture around. The Rhodadendroms, Azaleas and Acers were beautiful.

This garden is only 10 acres, but clever use of paths and terraces makes it seem much larger. There is a signposted path for people with reduced mobility, but it would be quite a struggle if they were wheelchair users due to the gradient and surface. There are plenty of seats around for a rest though. There are a lot... More

Stunning Camellias and Magnolias each area leads to new vistas, now waiting for the next few weeks ahead to see the Rhododendrons in full bloom. Always something to see whatever time of year. Last year they held a display of scarecrows, absolutely stunning and full of interest for all ages. Good food served in the house restaurant Wonderful friendly staff

A really lovely garden set on different levels at the edge of Dartmoor. This is the kind of place that needs another visit later in the year to see how the trees and plants come into season at different times. Beautiful views across the gardens and surrounding countryside. Nice tea shop with friendly staff although a bit pricey.

Beautiful Azaleas. A bit blowy across the windey, windy Moor today but still sheltered below to enjoy the sun by the lovely wildlife friendly large pond. The walk on the different levels is lovely and the massive lime trees tower above. We visited the tea shop and enjoyed a very nice coffee and rock buns. A little on the expensive... More

Have again visited this lovely little gem of a garden. The garden is full of twists and turns with amazing views and sights at every angle. A haven for wildlife with a pond full of wriggling tadpoles, birds singing from the treetops and a male pheasant hiding beneath a bedecked camellia. The magnolias are a sight to behold. Interesting historical... More
