The gardens are a delight - there is always something of interest to see whatever time of year you visit, The plant sales area is well stocked with plants grown in the garden, and the restaurant in the house serves very tasty 'healthy' food A good day out.

Next to the last day open to the public and the day was glorious. There were hardly any visitors and so we had the place to ourselves. The Acers were in full beautiful Autumn colours and gave the garden plenty of colour. It was nice to have had what felt like the last good walk of the summer before the... More

This was a lovely garden for a morning stroll. The views across the garden change all the time as th path meanders around. The acers were at their glorious best, a real feast for the eyes. The rea room was good and the cream tea superb.

We were the lucky ones to be invited to The Garden House tea rooms for a family and friends celebration party. Knowing how many were going to be there I did wonder how they were going to manage. No need to worry, 2 large rooms put to one side arranged as requested with a very attentive staff whose jobs were... More

The gardens are beautiful. As they always are, you can see the work that's gone into it. Never fails to please. The Acers at this time of year are spectacular. Not to be missed. But this review is about the cafe. Staff are lovely. Really friendly and welcoming. The cafe is really quaint as it used to be a house... More

Went for a family party. The cream tea was disappointing. Table of four and had to ask for extra sandwiches, two small quarters each. Scones were very hard, and home made cakes very small and amateurish. The staff were very helpful, and the gardens are nice to be viewed, but thought the menu on show was very expensive.

I visited these gardens with my mother, who is currently using a three-wheeled walker. There is a well-signposted route for people with reduced mobility, which has easy gradients, wide paths and a fairly hard surface. It visits all the most popular parts of the garden, and there are plenty of seats for resting places. We were told that I could... More
