Parking was in a field, which was great value at £2 a day but where the track for the field meets the road it's rutted- beware of the drop if you drive a typical type of car (clio/focus/passat etc). Also beware of nettles underfoot on the recently strimmed grass parking, there was no way round them, I got stung ankles.... More

Not been there for many years but have seen it from the estuary and it is the same. Quiet, golden sand and a great getaway from it all. Used to have to park in a car park in a field at the top and walk down. Not suitable for young children or elderly persons which is why I didn't go... More

Great beach if you like walking which we do. very sheltered from the elements but beware the tides. Loved by locals and tourists alike.

Gorgeous environment not far from Padstow but a million miles away from the rat race. Beautiful sandy coastline with a lovely peace about it. Great day out with a chair towel and a picnic.

The most amazing beach EVER... so quiet, big enough beach and little enough visitors to allow space and privacy between visitor's camps. Kids still play football, cricket, fly kites etc without it being an irritation to anyone. Dogfriendly, so if you don't like dogs, not ideal, but if you do, the happy frollicking is enough to keep you entertained and... More

Tregirls beach is 500 metres north at grid reference SW 911 769. The north-facing beach is in the River Camel estuary and is backed by dunes. The South West Coast Path runs behind the beach. Great for kitesurfing. At low tide the beach extends half-a-mile into the estuary and at its northeast point forms the infamous Doom Bar. Traditional Cornish... More

Quiet as it is out of the Padstown normal flow of traffic. We walked the coastline to the point and it was a little overgrown but well worth it.

Not sure where Padstown is, but this is a large and mostly peaceful sandy beach with no shops loos or cafes but plenty of sea and sand, rocks and caves to explore. Its very tidal, being on the camel estuary, so at low tide you can walk past the old lifeboat station to other even more quiet beaches. Watch the... More
