Top five in Scotland

One of the most interesting course one can ever play. Bests even Muirfield in terms of pure links enjoyment.

The course staff take the pace of your foursome pretty seriously so I would encourage not spending too much time walking through the rough looking for a lost ball. Apart from that, this is a beautiful, enjoyable course. As there are many blind shots and unusual layouts, having a caddie in your foursome is also very helpful. If you are... More

Excellent, thoroughly enjoyable, tough old-style Links course with plenty of challenge in the wind. A very interesting 1st hole!

My trip from Waverley station to North Berwick took only 20 minutes. At North Berwick, you can take a stroll along the beach or take your golf set with you. It is a small town that offers quick relief from the business of Edinburgh. The park was beautiful and you could also enjoy nice cup of tea at the seabird... More

Links Golf at it's best - our group visit was memorable particularly for the course condition and the hospitality of all the staff involved in providing an excellent service to the visitors. A lot more Golf Clubs would do well to model themselves on North Berwick if only for the good old fashioned Scot's courtesy provided, it really makes for... More

If you're like me, a golf vacation in Scotland is magical. Playing at North Berwick kept me under the spell. Just as you would imagine in a dream, this place was classic Scottish links golf with beautiful ocean views and rolling hard fairways and a steady wind. Deep bunkers difficult rough with plenty of landing areas. Unexpected: stone walls bisecting... More

And it's a fantastic golf course.... When they say they will treat you like a member, they really do mean it ( how many clubs say this and then look down their noses ) From the starter to the caddies ( very knowledgable by the way - a must have) all were very friendly ( but not fawning) And the...
