When we visited the Water Gardens in Gooderstone in August my expectations were not high. How wrong I was. This haven in the Norfolk countryside is stunning. The care taken in the upkeep and design of this water garden ensures that visitors are not left disappointed. We arrived mid afternoon; a mistake because we ran out of time especially after... More

Situated in a quiet village this was a lovely find on the way home from the North Norfolk coast. It was raining when we visited but we were still able to enjoy a few hours here strolling along the well laid paths admiring the gardens. There is a coffee shop which has some gifts and also plants for sale so... More

Always somewhere to have a chat with nature lovers, bird watchers or dog owners! Gorgeous surroundings of course and so nice to be able to take our dogs along!

This is the most beautiful oasis of tranquility. Open all year except Christmas day, after our second visit, I bought season tickets!! It is the loveliest garden. Thank you for keeping it so beautiful.

Despite being a rather dull day when we visited we found the gardens delightful. We meandered around the paths, mostly near water, and for the first 45mins we were almost on our own (we arrived at opening time,10am) which added to our enjoyment. We were particularly delighted to see the Kingfisher! We found the gardens relaxing, colourful, and interesting.Much thought has obviously gone into the... More

I have visited these gardens in the past and loved them, having not been for a few years. I went with a friend this time and was so disappointed, as soon as we entered I could see the gardens were rather overgrown with weeds. It is still a nice place to walk around, but not worth the £6 we both... More

Loved that everywhere you looked was a vision truly beautiful! A place you could gladly visit often even to just sit & enjoy the water & little bridges! And we saw the kingfisher!

What a surprise find. We followed the brown sign not knowing what to expect and we entered an oasis not much short of paradise. If the kingfisher hadn't moved, I might have thought it was stuffed as it is such an attraction there. I was very excited to see it. It is so well-worth a visit and I can imagine... More

Have visited Gooderstone at various times of the year. Always a joy to visit. Such a peaceful place. Even when busy it's easy to get away from the crowds. So many little paths and bridges to explore. Highlight of the day (apart from the coffee cake!) has to be the sight of two kingfishers from the kingfisher hide.

As long as the weather is reasonably fine, this is a tonic for the spirit. The water gardens are laid out ingeniously with lots of little bridges and superb vistas. Nice cakes in the café, too.
