I've given this review a score of Average, but to be truthful I would have liked to give it a rating of good, but unfortunately TripAdvisor only gives the options of average or very good, this is somewhere in between. I visited with my dog in September 2015 and we had a nice walk around, the gardens were quiet and... More

Last Wednesday we visited the Gooderstone Water Gardens. What a treat, streams running around the woodlands with secret paths and ornate bridges sm Tea Room, toilets etc and small Gazebos for resting, Sounds ideal ? sounds wonderful and no one there just the two of us, a well hiddne secret, worth a visit.

Excellent afternoon spent in the Water Gardens. So close to home and we have never been. Very nicely kept. A place to visit at different times during the year, would be different everytime. A season ticket is available. Good facilities, the staff were friendly. The cakes were delicious.

Whilst on holiday in Norfolk, we visited one afternoon. A private garden which the daughter of the original owner has restored, it is a beautiful garden to visit. We spent about 3 hours walking round, enjoying the gardens, followed by reasonably priced tea & cake afterwards.

As a local, we always enjoy walking around Gooderstone Water Gardens throughout different seasons. We enjoy seeing the grounds and plants develop. We saw the king fishers a few times on the afternoon we went.

A visit to these gardens is a must, a combination of formal gardens and wildlife habitat always a difficult balance but Gooderstone Water Gardens have got it spot on, making it an enjoyable day. Loads of photographic opportunities, pleasant walk through the gardens and nature trail and sitting in the bird hide, at any time observing invertebrates, birds and flora,... More
