This was such a find. A wonderful garden with so many areas of different planting for all seasons. A mixture planting of formal and wild flower beds/area's, ponds and river.. The tea room and toilets were spotless and the staff and food was superb. They even have Gluten free home made cakes. We would not change anything about the gardens... More

I recently visited the water gardens with my husband on a short break in Norfolk. From the moment we stepped through the gate we were captivated b the beauty and peacefulness of the place. I honestly felt as if I had walked through some sort of time portal. There are a series of grass paths, flower beds ponds and nature... More

Spent a couple of hours with family in Gooderstone Water Gardens. We didn't have high expectations, but were blown away by the imaginative, beautiful gardens. There were countless interesting paths and trails, bridges over the undulating streams and great naturalistic planting. Another pleasant surprise was the fantastic homemade cake selection in the tearooms! Although you are welcome to take your... More

A hidden gem. Truly stunning natural gardens with gorgeous colours, textures, sights and sounds. Never far away from the sound of gently running water of the wind in the trees, Gooderstone effortlessly manages to balance formal gardens with natural planting to dramatic effect. We were amazed to find out that Coral also makes the cakes in the tearoom. They were... More

We recently went to a production of Moliere's 'School for Husbands' performed in the gardens. With the rain holding off, it was a lovely evening, and people had brought picnics and even champagne - eat your heart out Glyndbourne and the Open Air Theatre in London! Since the play started at 6 p.m., it finished early too, so some people... More

lovely garden to explore - would have liked to have eaten some lunch there but there was no savoury food available. The cakes looked scrumptious, but we wanted something savoury first, so we went elsewhere for food

We spent an afternoon wandering this lovely, imaginative garden. It is very large and has numerous views and plantings with water features everywhere. We loved it. The nature trail was full of birds – we saw herons, ducks, moorhens and a kingfisher in a short time. The tea room is good and well stocked and the staff friendly and eager... More

Beautiful water plants and perennial borders stocked with colourful plants. Lots of wildlife- butterflies and dragonflies in abundance. Good cafe with excellent cakes. Probably easy to find with GPS device but not easy with maps only - near to Oxburgh Hall which is better signed - apparently the local council won't allow more brown signs.

I had no idea that this little gem of a place existed until on a visit to Oxburgh Hall, I was looking for something else to make a nice day out. The gardens are beautiful, and it is a lovely spot to wander around for an hour or two. even better if you take a picnic to enjoy in the... More

We visited Gooderstone last Sunday 6th July 2014. What a lot of work has been done, it was beautiful. We had such a lovely afternoon. The astilbe was fabulous. Loved the new colour schemes and the wild meadows too. I have been visiting on and off for over 25 years, but this was the best I have seen the gardens.... More
