As True's Yard in King's Lynn, this is a small museum. Again, the museum needs to make money and I didn't miss the entry fee of less than a fiver, but again I left still not clear if I enjoyed it or not, or whether it was good value. The gaol house bit was probably more interesting than the Treasury... More

We decided to go to the old gaol while on a family holiday in Kings Lynn. It's reasonably priced and gives a view on what an old police station used to run like. It also shows what other crimes and punishment there was. Something of a throw back, if you take the audio for you'll get a Walkman, now while... More

Whilst visiting King's Lynn, this building looked interesting from the outside and was not disappointing on the inside, the Old Police Station held many facts about our past and some more recent memorabilia. The two tapestries made by local people were of good historical interest, one in particular told the story of Cpt George Vancouver. Audio information cassettes are included... More

This is located in King's Lynn's 1930s police station. You can see the old cells beyond, where local miscreants were locked up. You can also see the old stocks, whipping post etc and an exhibit on witchcraft etc. Kids will love it. The Regalia Rooms house the collection of civic treasures. It is well worth a visit. Entry is £3.30.

Whilst holidaying in the area, went into Kings Lynn to visit the Old Gaol House, now this isn't the usual kind of thing I'd do but thought I'd give it a go just to 'do something different' and was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the fact that you could actually take pictures of yourself in the stocks and jail cells etc.... More

A small museum in the former police station. Includes walk around the dungeons and cells. A bit creepy! Also an exhibition of local history with displays of silverware and mayoral regalia. Easy to find In the Saturday Market Place. Worth a visit.

This was a really great insight into some of King's Lynn's history and was very well presented and the displays and "hands on" were cleverly put together. We had a great 2 hours here.

Good exhibits with ample documentation so that you knew exactly what you were looking at. Kids will enjoy learning about what happened to witches in the past.
