This is located in King's Lynn's 1930s police station. You can see the old cells beyond, where local miscreants were locked up. You can also see the old stocks, whipping post etc and an exhibit on witchcraft etc. Kids will love it. The Regalia Rooms house the collection of civic treasures. It is well worth a visit. Entry is £3.30.

Whilst holidaying in the area, went into Kings Lynn to visit the Old Gaol House, now this isn't the usual kind of thing I'd do but thought I'd give it a go just to 'do something different' and was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the fact that you could actually take pictures of yourself in the stocks and jail cells etc.... More

A small museum in the former police station. Includes walk around the dungeons and cells. A bit creepy! Also an exhibition of local history with displays of silverware and mayoral regalia. Easy to find In the Saturday Market Place. Worth a visit.

This was a really great insight into some of King's Lynn's history and was very well presented and the displays and "hands on" were cleverly put together. We had a great 2 hours here.

Lack lustre exhibits. Poor tableaux. Generally, very seedy and tired looking. Not very informative either

Good exhibits with ample documentation so that you knew exactly what you were looking at. Kids will enjoy learning about what happened to witches in the past.

Easy to find and an interesting 45 minutes spent looking at the old jail house with its relics, which then toured into the civic hall area showing some of the town's culture and historical links. You can use an audio guide as you walk through which was helpful. You can take photos of each other in the stocks etc which... More

Wont take you too long to see this attraction but is worth a visit. At under £4.00 per person this is a low cost trip for all weathers. Audio tour can be taken and there are interactive displays and great fun for children and educational for all
