2 day break with good and not so good!

Another bolt hole for the stupidly rich. Lacks atmosphere, and the drinks prices are truly stellar. Boring and characterless. But you rich people like this.

I was driving through and I thought I'd come in for something to eat seeing as though I haven't actually been here yet so thought I would try it out, well I get to reception and a man I think his name was Marcus.. To put it simply was just not polite. Other than that the food and beverages are... More

Thankfully it wasn't very busy as we arrived on a snowy Sunday. Greeted very well and the whole day was wonderful and relaxing. Good facilities, good lunch and good service and treatments.

As we drove up the hill to the hotel, you could not help but gasp in awe! Enormous white 'castle like ' building. Almost regal! There were the most amazing grounds to walk or sit in and spectacular views over Marlow and the River Thames. I believe gradual renovation is taking place, slowly but surely. It certainly needs it. We... More

On both occasions visited to stay, the rooms have been such a disappointment-first one overlooked a building site in a narrow passageway! second occasion, room was tiny and furniture chipped. Looks amazing in the glossy brochure but this hotel needs money spent on it. Afternoon tea was also spoiled by a woman changing her baby's soiled nappy on the metal... More

This was very busy, not not a tranquil pool due the other amount of others there. But they had every treatment you can imagine should you really want to relax away from people.

The hotel itself was looking a tad tired.....maybe the afternoon tea would be better. Serving staff were not very attentive but were polite I forgot to mention on arrival that I don't eat white bread, I asked for brown or wholemeal when the first round of teas came out but the answer I received was ' They are made in... Completely agree with a lot of the other reviews which have described the hotel as being, "too large a cost for what you actually get". The hotel looked amazing from the outside, and much of the interior was nice too- particularly the dining area. However, when we got to our room, we were disappointed. The bedroom was very small and... More

We stayed because a friend had a birthday celebration there and we wanted to not worry about driving home. We asked for a quiet room and got it, in the loft. Great size and very plush but then at £215 I sort of hoped it would be. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast with am amazing display of nuts and seed and... More
