A great way to see them in the wild ... we saw lots of whales but unfortunately no dolphins it just depends on the day. Food and drink on board and a chance to stop off for a swim. Trips are photographed and recorded so be prepared when asked to buy them. We did purchase a dvd for 25 euros... More

this trip was sold to us by Mark based up at Laguna Park 2. He was dead honest and said the boat would only be maybe a third full. That was an ideal number to me, 30 odd passengers. Saw loads of pilot whales and some dolphins then headed in towards a cove so we could jump off the catamaran... More

2nd time on the maxicat, really good experience but I wonder should they do a trip only for families, our trip was dominated with large groups of adults who were a bit rowdy. This makes it hard for families with little ones. But otherwise a great trip saw loads of whales and dolphins :)

Myself and my girlfriend went on the three hour trip option. We were taken from Puerto Colon harbour, out to the sea where we saw a family of whales. The Captain stopped the boat and the whales seemed curious so did not leave the area but rather swam round the boat and gave us all an opportunity to get a... More

There's a 3 hour and a 5 hour trip available from Puerto Colon so we opted for the 5 hour trip up to Masca as there were dolphins and whales "guaranteed". The agents will tell you the price is about €54 but they'll do you a favour and give you a special offer of €40. I told one that I'd... More

Trip out on the Atlantic with Maxicat was excellent. The trip included a free bar, pilot whale spotting and a 30 min window to go snorkelling which was much more fun than first expected! Very cheap to do if you go to the right tourist centre, we got there early and were able to sit on the netting which was... More

We (me and my wife) visited Tenerife in Feb'14. We had booked the Maxicat Masca Excusrion in advance. It was a 5 hr trip and full of Fun. Right from the Dolphins and the whales to the Lava trails, all was so wonderful. Things to carry: They cover it all- No need to take except for sunglasses and your swim... More

We took the 5 hour trip. Sailing along the coast to Masca looking at stunning coastline. We stopped for about 45 minutes for the diehards to jump in for a swim. Also unfortunately one of my party was feeling quite ill after a swim in the water felt so much better. After the stop we then went to look for... More

We chose the 3 hour trip from Porto Colon, and compared to other boats this catamaran was quite small which suited us fine, as it wasn't packed with people. There were plenty of seats either in the shade or in the sun, or you can sit on a netted area at the front. It was a lovely sunny day in... More
