The close encounter with Dolphins and whales in Tenerife There are 28 species of Whales and Dolphins that either reside in or pass through Canarian waters. Pilot Whales and Bottlenose Dolphins are resident to the waters off the South West coast of Tenerife and enable the whale watching industry to all but guarantee sightings. Rough Toothed dolphins used to be resident nearer La Gomera before the fast ferries arrived and were frequently seen; they have now moved further around the island. Sperm whales reside between Tenerife and Gran Canaria.

We went on the 4.5 hour cruise. The boat is very spacious and comfortable for the amount of people that were on it the day we went. We stood on the front of the boat to watch the passing Dolphins and pilot whales. They were absolutely fascinating to watch. The boat would change course and sail towards the varying pods... More

The Royal Delfin tour was amazing! You can choose between 3 trips (2 hours, 3 hours or 4.5 hours). We chose the 4.5 hours trip so I can only comment on this one. The staff, 'guide' and cameraman were all very nice. The trip starts with a ride (about 1h20) along the coast to reach Los Gigantes (during which a... More

Absolutely fantastic. We booked the longest trip. Lovely staff, helpful and kind. Boat was three quarters full. Food was lovely and plenty to drink. Seeing the dolphins and Whales was amazing. I throughly recommend this trip and this company.

Well, the kids loved seeing the dolphins and the whales, but aside that you pay quite a bit for a short (in range) boat trip and some quite below average food (I would not expect to pay more than 4e for the meal they offer). Definitely take only the 2hr trip, we were on a 3hr trip and it was... More

We were traveling with a pretty large group of people, 3 of whom were celebrating 30th birthdays. Some of the group wanted to see dolphins and whales and some just wanted to party. With unlimited self serve sangria and beer on the boat (among other beverages) this was perfect for everyone! Even those who weren't too excited about whale watching... More

Took a 3 hour excursion during our holiday and it was amazing. Seeing dolphins and whales in their natural habitat isn't something you get to do often. The glass bottom boat meant you could go "underwater" and see the dolphins and whales swimming in their families. The 3 hour trip included a quick tour of the south island, swimming, lunch,... More

There are three kinds of tours, I picked the 3-hours tour from Playa De Las Americas to Los Gigantes-Masca (other toura take 2, 3 or 4 and a half hours) and the lunch was fresh and included in the price (rice, veggies, meatballs and fruits, with free drinks of all sorts from coke and water to wine and a fresh... Great trip of a lifetime, if you have never come close to Whales or Dolphins this is worth a go, we booked this trip for 49 Euro each, for which you receive a four hour trip from Adeje to Los Gigantes where you dock for lunch onboard the boat, lunch was meatballs and salad which did the job. On route... More
