You will need good walking shoes, which you don't mind getting wet. Trousers are not a good idea, because you'll be walking in the river for much of the way. Try to park somewhere near the old cement factory. Take plenty of fluids and a picnic. You will be walking up a river valley, broad at first but narrowing into... More

Wasn't disappointed! You start along the path and the river itself just starts as a series of puddles, follow it along... More

This is the second time we attempted to complete from Nerja to Frigiliana but the wrong shoes have stopped us twice. Sketchers Go walk are good but a pair of lightweight trainers would probably be better. Other half tried aqua shoes but they didn't hold up to the challenge. Fantastic walk , we managed two hours each way. Depending on... More

Whenever we visit Nerja we always like to walk along the riverside. This year it was mainly dried up because of the beautiful hot weather. We went one morning after a massive thunderstorm the night before so at least there was a bit of water. We saw several birds including a cattle egret, parakeets and Cetti's warbler so that made... This year's holiday was exceptional in many respects. Tropical temperatures with low rainfall was also signed at the Rio Chillar. In the lower part of the flow is completely dry. Therefore, we had further upstream, and therefore could not otherwise lovely attraction this year as the watching.
