Went beginning of April. Very disappointed as el papagayo cafe on beach seems to be closed up permanently. Used it two weeks ago as is a fab beach to sit, relax or take a splash

I visted Nerja on an occasion, and went to the Balcon de Europa, whilst standing there, I saw this beach and thought that it had to be the clearest water I have seen, I was staying down in Torremolinos and the sea was black there, funny only a few miles up, here it is crystal blue!!

Yes there is a family of wild, or semi wild cats, living in the undergrowth around this beach. Mainly ginger, they are clearly being fed by tourists, as they are in good condition, and we love to stand on the Balcon and try to spot them. They seem oblivious to the people, The beach itself is sheltered by the cliffs,... More

Small central and very pretty, boats usually are birthed there. The sand is a little finer than in Buriana. Being right beside the Balcon and only around the corner from Playa Salon provides for nice safe walks while leaving your stuff on the beach. Before going on to the beach through the little archway at the top, you can stock... More

This beach just east of the balcon de europa is one of many lovely gravel beaches backed by large cliffs. Even in january I was able to swim for half an hour in de water (15c).

Probably the most scenic beach in town, with the fishing boats on the shore. Despite its central location it was almost like having a private beach. You can walk or swim around to the two neighboring beaches.

Hired four sunbeds on a sunny November morning, on Papagayo Beach- so peaceful, shame the café bar wasn't open on the beach, didn't stay too long as the flies were so annoying!!

This was the worst beach we visited, there was actually rubbish on it. It's right underneath and to the left of the balcon (if you are facing the sea). I didn't even want to sit on it, we named it the dump beach!

Pick a sunny day to visit this wacky beach restaurant. Watch the wooden pallets catching fire under huge dishes of paella. Its cooked and served up by ultra friendly and efficient staff. What a fun place for a holiday lunch.
