Nerja and Playa de Burriana are delightful all year round. Nestled at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains it has a wonderful climate, a safe and sheltered beach offering children's play areas, sea kayaking & boarding, sub-aqua diving and a cosmopolitan aray of café's, restaurants, bars and shops. For me it has a very friendly and happy vibe.

playa de burriana is Nerja,s main and largest beach at the towns eastern end. I liked the views towards the east:MARO village and the nature reserve around EL CANUELO BEACH.

But enough choice for all the family. you can walk from the beach along the coast line... More

We walked to Burriana from nearby Balcon de Europa - took about 20/25 minutes. The beach is long and well cared for with public toilets, duckboard access points and lined along the whole length with coffee shops and cafes and restaurants. Access to the beach from whichever way you approach is down a steep hill. This is only a small... More

We have been going here for over 13 years and the children used to love if!! Safe swimming, loads of space and paella being served up in many beach front restaurants. A bit of a walk to get there from town (even more challenging when you have eaten and drunk your fill at lunchtime as its all up hill..... So... More

Clean relaxed beach at New Year, no crowds and great views of the coastline. Had a nice meal with drinks of corse, and then watched the world go slowly by in the warming sun.
