I love most beaches. If the water is clear and not a lot of debris in the water, I am a fan. Burriana like most people have described is busy and with many ppl who are on holiday from other regions of Spain and Europe. But of the all the little beaches around Nerja, I prefer it over the others.... More

I live here and find Burriana to touristy , it gets absolutely packed , parking is horrendous. For holiday makers with kids it's great but not for me. I prefer the quieter beaches around .

We visited this beach three days to find that all of the sun loungers had been reserved we asked the person who was renting the loungers if we could reserve one for the next day and he said we have to come back at 3pm it looking at his book it seemed that the loungers had all been reserved for... This is a lovely beach that has been improved over the years. It is clean and tidy with a vast number of bars restaurants and shops.

Lovely beach, mostly sand with a strip of shingle near the water's edge. Water is very clear, apart from some scum occasionally...not sure where it comes from! Plenty of duckboard to walk on when the sand's too hot, and showers dotted along the beach. Public toilets available (but only if you're desperate - filthy by the end of the day).... More

One of the real centres of Nerja. Having grown in recent years it can occasionally get quite busy but there are some great restaurants, cocktail bars and beach cafes. Ayo's restaurant is worth a trip for a paella, definitely not the best in Nerja but certainly the most famous and a great place to sit and enjoy the sun. The... More

This is a perfect beach for families, couples or friends. There are a selection of sun loungers and beds available - all really comfortable, easy to reserve and well priced - sand volleyball courts, stunning clear blue sea, peddalos and, most importantly, a good selection of bars and restarants along the edge of the beach, many of which will serve... It doesn't cost much to rent a sunbed for the day - about 3 euros. The beaches are sandy. Good for children as play area (at the end of the beach - where you also get the best paella). Lots of, "You want massage" on the beach. Have to say - good and very relaxing. Handbag sellers and jewellery sellers... More

Avoid in summer! The beach will be crammed in summer it's incredibly difficult to find space and the sand is so hot that a run to the sea will not be worth the pain. It's a lovely fine sand clear (ish) water beach but if you go explore the beaten track towards La herradura you will find much better and... More

This beach is stunning, relaxing, and peaceful. The sand/shingle can get hot so wear flip flops down to the sea.
