Burriana is a wide stretch of beach about ten to fifteen minutes' walk from the Balcon area of Nerja. It is accessed by a steep road unless you are one of the lucky ones, as we were, who are staying at the Parador - they have the use of a private lift. It is very popular with both locals and... More

Burriano beach is just the right size. The beach beds and facilities are extremely good. Water sports on offer are first class. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants along the beach. It was quiet and civilized. We loved it. If you walk there, and you are an older person, be aware that it is quite a steep road up... More

We weren't bothered about sunbeds, preferring to go to the quieter end of the beach and stretch out on mats on the sand, with the sound of cicadas behind us, rather than music from the bars. Lovely that you have the choice of whether to hang around with the crowd, which is not too much of a throng in September,... More

Only walked along by the beach, plenty sun loungers, four posters or take your own, which a lot of people do, altho hiring very reasonable, sand didnt look that great , but the water looked very inviting, great cafes & restaurants to choose from, so you could spend the day there , only bad part the walk back up the... A lovely place to visit but as no buses go down there and there is nowhere to park after 9am it is being overlooked. I think they need to come to some arrangement so that the bus can go down at least a couple of times a day from the top

Good food happy people. Excellent choice of venues. Down side is the trek to the main road. No bus service but any of the restaurants or bars will happily call you a cab.

choice of sun loungers or comfy wooden four poster day beds, reasonably priced. The beach itself isn't sandcastle material being mainly gravel. EL SCORCHIO in the afternoon, flip flops essential. Great choice of beach front bars and eateries. Ideal place to relax.

it is not easy access so expect a steep walk if on foot. The beach front is very different from Nerja, it is much more cosmopolitan and a little downmarket. For eating or drinking generally cheaper, lots of fast foods but some excellent breakfasts to be had at great value here. Quite a lot to do but beaches fill up... More
