Swam here many times and had a great time, we then relaxed in the bar and enjoyed a pint of San Miguel beautifully chilled.

We decided to forgo the pool at out apartment and take a day at Burriana Beach - big mistake. There are hundreds of sunbeds but every one was reserved! Apparently one has to go down the previous night and book a sunbed for the next day, or do you?? We compared notes with another couple who had gone down on... More

We don't normally go to the beach but I suppose it was OK for sunbathing. Too crowded for us but a good place to eat and people-watch.

You can't beat Burriana! Sunday is by far the busiest but also the best day to visit as you see the Spanish at play- I was trying to read a book but there's so much going on you just can't concentrate. Crazy families, sports everywhere, guys with metal detectors etc etc. Sunbeds and parasols are about four euros each but... More

great beach, plenty of places to eat/shop, great watersports, well worth a visit, the only downside was the public toilets (quite a few along the beach) had no hand drying or toilet rolls

I'm a huge fan of beautiful beaches. thats why it is rather difficult for me to be positive about beaches in Nerja. I would say the beaches are the only disadvantage I can see in the city. not only because the sand is not perfectly white but most importantly because you feel as if walking in an ashtray! i just... The beach was lovely, packed but still enough room for everyone. Unfortunately the restaurants do not have toilet facilities and the public ones were dreadful - dirty, no toilet paper, no hand soap or paper towels. The restaurant we ate in on the beach front was overpriced.

Firstly this is a great stretch beach with easy access to the sea and good wash and shower facilities on the promenade. Also there are a multitude of restaurants and cafe bars and shops all along the beach open early till late. Great for families and couples. If you want a sunbed book early as by Midday most have gone.

Really convenient for anyone staying in Nerja with plenty of bars and restaurants close to the beach. Sand is of the grey variety rather than the ideal golden type but the tideline is pretty much free from rocks and so it's easy to get into the sea. It can get very crowded and the locals can find spaces that you... More
