Billed as the 'jewel in Westmeath's crown' this doesn't disappoint. Despite the weather not being great, the gardens looked amazing. There is lots to see here - from a petting farm/zoo for the little kids; references to Narnia for older kids; and beautiful scenery for the grown-ups. There are different walks of different lengths so you can decide which suits... More

A really nice day was had by all, bit pricey but I suppose you pay for what you get, I would return as it's possibly some of the nicest scenery around

I had wanted to visit Belvedere for some time. There is a lot of open space here but not a lot in the way of formal gardens. There is a lake, a couple of small playgrounds, a walled garden, a cafe, a shop and of course the house. The gardens do not seem particularly well cared for and I think... More

Lovley spot to go on a nice day to pass a few hours. Lovely stroll around the pretty and scenic gardens and wood. We didn't get in to the house. Not sure if you can. Lovely area for food and plenty of selection and amazing looking deserts! Recommend it for a chilled and leisurely day out.

Belvedere is a beautiful house which enables you to visualise life in the past. The gardens and grounds are immaculate and the scenery is beautiful. This is a lovely and safe place to bring children as there is only one entrance-exit. There is a lovely playground and coffee shop. Great schedule of activities throughout the year.

Living in this region I feel violated each time I visit this place. Its about €25 to bring my family in to stroll around what is, in any other county, a park. No more no less. It has trees, grass and air. I dont blame Belvadere, I blame Westmeath County Council for charging and screwing the public for this, Theyhave... More

Lovely gardens and grounds to walk round, I would say if you have children 3+ they would enjoy it also, especially the Faery Garden, and the play areas. We visited as they were setting up for the "Life" Festival, which detracted slightly as the set up spoilt some of the views. The house tour was interesting and well worth the... More
