went to Belvedere House to get wedding photos taken. the natural beauty of this location is amazing. the old castle ruins are stunning and the romantic paths and big trees make for a beautiful setting. the staff however were not very helpful in showing us where to go, park our cars etc. i think a specific staff member should be... The garden was lovely and the history of the house was well-described. the original owner kept his wife under house-arrest for about 30 years because he thought she was cheating on him. He would be in prison today, but in those days, it was good to be upper class. Apparently you could do whatever you liked.

Lovely place. I had to pay 10€ to visit it, but it was worth it! Nice walks, a lake, buildings... Good way to spend a Saturday. The house is amazing and the views breathtaking. There were also people selling stuff like a special occasion. Good food in the cafeteria, and playground for kids as well.

Set in lovely countryside with nice gardens and you are able to walk around the house and see rooms dating back hundreds of years. A nice café, shop and facilities has been recently opened and is very nice. For children there are some goats and donkeys and a play area. This house/gardens is worth visiting for a half day..

Really nice place, Belvedere. The gardens are gorgeous, even in late September. The house is pretty and the view of the lake is quite incredible. Nice café on the grounds.

First time here and it seems a great place to go for a day out with a picnic and some good walking. The parts of the house you can see is limited and wouldn't take long to get around but saying that the history behind it is very interesting. The price seems expensive but overall I guess if you where... More

We took the self guided tour of the house and gardens. It was fun to learn more about the family and history of the house. I always wish I could see more of the house on these historic tours, but I understand why we couldn't see all the rooms. There was not much of the historic kitchen left, which is... More
