Plenty to do and see . If you enjoy the fresh air give it a go as there is not a lot to do in Mullingar. There is a nice walled garden and a good play area for the kids . Some nice animals as well . The house itself is interesting and there is also a nice coffee shop

Our hotel (Bloomfield House) gave us two complementary tickets, otherwise it is 8 euro each so make a day of your visit. We got there early, Sat 14/2/2015 and I'm glad because some of the rooms closed later in the day for a St Valentine's bash . Sturdy shoes are handy, there's a lot of walking to see everything. 8... No dislikes. Lovely views, great story attached to this historic place. Lovely house where you can imagine well how they lived because of what is preserved. Reasonably priced food in restaurant at the location to make sure you can spend sufficient time to view all. childrens little playground as well.

Went it for a visit today. We weren't sure if we had to pay in because there was no clear signage anywhere detailing the fees. I had to ask. Was told it 8 euros in each. That was it. No explaination as to what that covered, what we could visit etc. Liked the house, liked the gardens. Probably would have... More

Smallish country house, unfortunately now without original furnishings, but set within magnificant parkland including walled gardens and a good coffee shop. Children's playground and animal area. Good spot to walk and explore even in winter.

Thought entrance fee was a little steep for tour of house so just went in to cafe. Food was very good but service and coffees werent great. Looks like there are nice walks all around the grounds but unclear whether you need to pay fee to do walks.

Highly recommend a visit to Belvedere House. The gardens are lovely. Beautiful peaceful location. So much history to be learnt. Stop & have a coffee or some lunch.

Delighted when we arrived to find it was an open day with lots of extras. Lovely scenery and well kept paths and places to sit and admire the surroundings. Can't wait to visit in the summer time.
