many geysers but only one very active
every 4-9minutes
great experience for all of us.

Good roads lead to the place, excellent food court next to it that is open till 6 pm ( winters ). There is a well equipped shop there too but pricey. I find it refreshing to find Iceland's policy of providing full and free access to its natural and cultural assets. People are left to explore and discover its beauty without suffering the limitations of undue restictions and prohibitive notices and officials marshalling visitors.

This place is a must. The valley has several hot springs and is easy to access by car. There is a parking lot and a souvenir shop on location. It was easy to get to and you could probably do it if you weren't able to walk far... you might even be able to do it in a wheelchair. There are lots of small bubbling pools and more than one geyser there.

Like many attractions in Iceland, entrance to this one is free. There is a large parking area near a pricey gift store and across the street is the thermal area with Strokur geyser as its key drawing card.
