On our way to Munich, from Stuttgart, this was a must stop. To walk on the same grounds where so many never left, was quite emotional. May I never forget this visit.

The visit to Dachau exceeded all of my expectations. There is a vast amount of information well laid out for visitors, audio guides and lots of grounds to explore. It is a really sobering experience but you will definitely not regret visiting here. We went quite late on in the day and wish that we had left a whole day... More

I booked a tour through Viator with Radius Tours. Alun Evans was our tour guide and he was extremely knowledgable and ran a great tour. Very well organized - we were able to get to/from the site very quickly and maximize our time on site. The tour is a half-day but given the subject matter it takes a full days... More

We took our family here, our kids are 11 & 14. It's a hard place to visit, hard to admit that you really want to see it. The thing is, it happened, and we felt that it was important to see so that it doesn't happen again. The site is well maintained and clean, the gardens behind the crematorium are... More

I will say for another time as i said about Auschwitz-Birkenau <SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!> FOR THIS CRIME. Thousands people died, unbelievable!!! We visited the place in the past during our trip to Munich and i was shocked. Last year during my visit to Poland i had another shock, bigger i could say, this of Auschwitz-Birkenau. We must learn from the... More

Words can not describe what you feel when you walk through the rooms where innocent people have died.. If you have the chance, go visit the place; that is all I can say...

This is a self guided tour with audio guides if wanted. The museum in the main building is a must it tells you the history of the building as well as the history of the war. The reconstructed bunkers gives you a different perspective on the increase in numbers from when the camp started to its liberation. The visit to... More

Although a deeply sad and moving experience. Dachau is a fascinating look at what happened under the Third Reich. I would recommend taking a guide to explain the camp, having visited the first time without a guide, we got much more from the visit with a guide to answer our questions. Not suitable at all for young children.
