We hiked Beachum Trail which was 4 mile hike around the lake. Took us about 1 1/2 hrs at a nice pace. You go to one end of the lake and cross the dam, beautiful view.

We did a couple of smaller hikes at Lake Leatherwood before departing Eureka Springs. We're glad we had a chance to stretch our legs and enjoy the beauty of the area. Get a map of all the trails and enjoy. We were also impressed with the tent camping--gorgeous, private areas (lots of flat grassy areas to set up).

We visited here in July and just happened on this beautiful place. Clear clean water and lots of trails. We were going to hike however being July and with a sign at the trail head that warned of poisonous snakes, and bugs we thought better of it and decided to come back in the fall.

On our way out of Eureka Springs we decided to stop and hike a little bit. We went out the Fuller Trail and came back on another. Very nice trails with great views of the lake. I only saw one piece of litter during our 2.5 miles and two other hikers and one fisherman. This is the place to get... More

Or group had their picnic here today and just loved it. We all had dogs with us and it gave us apple room a and places to walk with them. The scenery around the lake and dam is spectacular.

This was a small nice lake with a campground and park in a quiet area. The water was cool, but it was very hot out so it was a cool relief from the heat

Of the many things to do here, me and my 11 year-old son did the 3-mile hike around the lake. Very beautiful and quiet. We saw a deer with in 15 feet of us; it did not turn or run from us. We saw 4 different lizards - including the rare Collared Lizard which (according to the staff at the... More

I was ecstatic to rent a Paddleboat for the first time in about 30 years. My husband and I cruised around the quiet lake and got gorgeous photos of the scenery.

The lake is secluded and peaceful and was just minutes from our hotel. We rented a paddle boat and had a great time exploring. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I hiked along the seemingly safe trail surrounding the lake. Heed my warning! This place is infested with chiggers. I started to itch 3 hours later and the next morning my skin erupted with over 500 chigger "bites". This is the most painful experience of my life. The bites are from my toes to my head and are excruciatingly itchy... More
