Leatherwood park fills hte bill

Nice place to hike right on the edge of town, this isn't the rockies or anything but it fullfilled the need to get outdoors and do a little hiking.

The drive to the lake was very peaceful and beautiful. I was rather disappointed when we got there. Maybe there was another area to view the lake, but from where we were it was nothing outstanding. Luckily we were just cruising and not staying there or going for any activity.

Nice small lake nestled close to Thorncrown Chapel in the Eureka Springs area. Several cabins for rent her and there are several sporting event held here. With lots of Mt Bike and Hiking Trails that go around the lake and around the rolling hills in the area in the foothills of the Ozark Mt.

You will be hard pressed to find a cheaper place to rent a boat for a relaxing day on the lake. $6/hour for a paddleboat, and $7.50/hour for a kayak.

This is a small lake, you can canoe, paddle boat, or rent a small fishing boat. There is a fishing dock. Small cabins can be rented also. A tranquil, pretty lake, with no loud Sea Do's running all over it. Great place to take your kids.

in all the travel guides made this to look well cared for and vibrant but we found an algae filled lake that looks like it is suffering from lack of funding. :(

Peaceful lake where kayaks and paddle boats abound. This is not the place for jet skis and power boats.

The trails at Lake Leatherwood are great for all hiking skills. We did the Fuller Trail, which ran along the side of the lake for a great view - very easy to navigate. We also did the Miner's Rock trail, which was harder (designed for mountain bikers) but was a wonderful excursion through the wooded hills!

My husband and I are from Bentonville, and we decided this past Saturday to look for some trails in Eureka Springs. I feel like we came to the right place. We aren't big hikers, but we would like to be someday. We went on a trail that took us to the dam, and it was awesome. It was an easy... More
