In years past, the Passion Play would always want me coming back again. The power of the story would stay with you days later. This new Passion Play took too many liberties from the storyline and the recorded voices were very poor and without emotion. The actors were great and worked hard and the people were friendly but I left... more

We have seen the Play at least 10 times. And Each time it had been changed a little, but still great. To totally enjoy and understand the Play you must accept the Bible as totally true. You can not have doubts and understand it. Some did not like the lip sync, But, how else could the play be done. The... more

We have been going to the Passion Play almost every Fall for the last 20 years. We won't be going back and it breaks my heart. The "New" Great Passion Play was extremely disappointing to say the least. Had it been the first time we ever came we would have never went back. The sound was horrible. The scene changes... more

I saw this play as a middle school child and remember being awed by it. During the performance, my little brother was so enthralled in the performance that he said, "Dad, let's get out of here. If they would do that to Jesus, what will they do to us?" I saw it again in my 20's and remember the same... more

This was a good idea at one time, but it is not worth it anymore. I've seen better plays at local churches. The Dialouge was all pre-recorded and sounded hollow. The distance from the set made it hard to see clearly. Special effects were low budget. There were a couple of sceenes that aren't excatly found in the Bible; but... more

We went as a sunday school class to the "Great Passion Play". We also went through the Holy Land Tour and Museums. I have to agree with some of the other reviews in the fact that the prerecorded dialogue did not have very much emotion, or it was emotion in wierd spots, but the play was still very good. The... more

All I can say about this play is, are you kidding me? I had seen the play once as a child, so I don't remember whether it used to be good or not. That said, I watched the play on Memorial Day weekend 2008 an now you couldn't pay me enough to go see it again. It was probably the... more

I had seen the Passion Play four years ago and really enjoyed the performance. This new version does not come close to the earlier version. There is too much time when people are just milling around with no dialogue. I spent a lot of time looking at the Big Dipper just to have something interesting to look at. The manner... more

My boyfriend and I just returned from Branson, MO, last month. We were given free complementary tickets to the New Passion Play while in Branson, and were told that we could use the tickets any time. However, I noticed that there was an expiration date on the tickets which said that they expire July 8, 2008. When we were in... more
