My husband and I enjoy going to different wineries for tastings and tours. I wish that Keels offered a tour! Since the winemaker is a retired chemist it would be so interesting to hear some of his knowledge in the making of these wines. We enjoyed the wines that were part of the tasting. I did think it was weird... More

I visit this winery every time I come to Eureka Springs. Unlike most Arkansas wines from the wineries in the River Valley region around Altus, the wines at Keels Creek are not sickeningly sweet. The winery is owned by a retired chemist, and his knowledge shows through in the complexity of some of the wines. When I have done tastings... More

We have been to many wineries but this is the first time we were not allowed to sample the wines we wanted to sample. They charge either $5 or $8 for sampling 7 wines of their choosing. the price is different depending on the size of the glass you want to keep. We don't like dry wines or Oaked wines... More

While the wife and I visited Eureka Springs we spent a little time at Keels Creek Winery. We noticed that the lady running the shop seemed a bit uppity but we tasted a few wines which were pretty good and bought several bottles of wine. Every bottle that we have opened since we returned home has tasted like vinegar. We... More

We've begun to shy away from Midwest wines since they seem to be overly sweet. Keels promotes their wine as dry varietals. Compared to most around here it is dry though I don't think it would be considered dry in Napa or Sonoma Valleys, The only thing I did NOT like was the nasty concoction of wine, some kind of... We had a nice afternoon at Keels, they were so nice, and accommodating! Did the tasting, which was good, and found some great Buck Run pottery. Thanks Guys!

We were looking forward to this visit but unfortunately were disappointed. As other reviewers have stated we felt rushed through the tasting and the samples were minuscule, especially for a winery in which you pay for tastings. The person presenting didn't seem to have a thorough knowledge of the wines and had to use a cheat sheet. We love wine... More

Had read nice reviews so We were looking forward to making an afternoon of our visit. Unfortunately this not that kind of winery - we were rushed through out tasting and were in and out in 15 minutes - and that includes tasting 7 wines. Tastings cost $5 or $8 and you "get to" keep the glass (just what I... More
