Just like he title says, if you have young children make sure you can carry them around as you cant bring strollers but we enjoyed the self guided tour for what it was. It was inexpensive compared to other Eureka Springs attractions and it helped to pass the time. Very steep going down to the entrance, be careful!

We were in town for a sporting event in the middle of August. It was a very hot day and this is a great place to cool off since the temperature is at 57F. We went on Saturday afternoon and it was just a few people there. Admission is very reasonable and they have a nice gift shop with various... More

We are bikers and for the most part on the road and HOT. The Onyx Cave is just the place to cool off. the temperature is always a cool 57 degrees. Since it's self guided you can take you time taking photos and looking. It has the best "Cave Elephant" and "Dragon" that I've ever seen. The headsets are old... More

if you read these last 5 reviews you have to wonder WHO is writing them. "COMPETITOR" go to the next page and read some real reviews. Yes they close at 5, so if you get there at 5 they are closing. I wore the head set and loved that i went at my own pace. great cave for children who... More

The price was reasonable. Headphones were unconfortable to wear cause they were so old and i couldnt really hear. The narrator was pretty boring. The place isnt lit up very well at all the lights only come on for a minute or two as the narrator talks. A lot of the overhanging rocks deposits are broke. The bathroom was very... More

If you've been through other caves, this one is a little disappointing. Self guided tour with very old outdated headphones. Would recommend driving a little further and visiting Cosmic Caverns.

Honestly, this cave has seen better days. The only reason Anyone would go to this cave is to understand why Arkansas and Missouri have passed laws to protect caves and make tampering a crime. Even the audio of the self guided tour makes reference to a time when the cave was between owners. There is clear evidence that previous cave... More

I liked walking down through the cave on our own. Pushing buttons that lit up to tell us more about the history and information of the cave. Kind of scary and very well worth the time.

This cave has seen it's days long ago. The head sets are not that great, lighting was terrible and price was way too high for what they offered. All the souvenirs were from mexico or some where over seas, I felt this was sad, the souvenirs use to be from that area and everyone sold rocks. Prices were way too... More

This isn't what I'd consider a spectacular cave. More of a 'starter' cave to give young children an idea of how caves really do exist. Venture over to Blanchard Springs Caverns if you really want to tour and explore a fantastic cave system.
