The Onyx Cave was a great cave to take my daughter for her first cave experience. It isn't huge, but it has some great formations inside and a good history to go with it. The cave has a headphone set that does a recorded tour through the cave. It takes about 30 minutes to go through. The gift shop has... More

This cave was an excellent cave to take small children to. As it is not long at all and you get to tour it yourself. No tour guide. Very short cave though.

We have visited many caves and this last week visited this cave and Cosmic Cavern in Berryville. The two don't even compare. This cave is a perfect example of why caves should be preserved and taken care of. Our experience started out sour because my toddler wasn't allowed a pair of headphones (they're old and outdated anyway, but she would've... More

While vacationing in Eureka Springs my wife and I visited the Onyx Cave. It was very hot out while we were there, but going in the cave was a much needed cool off! It was a pretty interested self guided tour that you were able to learn a lot about the caves and its history. I don't think I would... More

We visited the Onyx Cave in 2014 on a whim before heading back home. We enjoyed the self-guided tour and gift shop. My kids loved picking out Onyx rock figurines! We will definitely be back in 2015.

Visiting Onyx Cave was a wonderful way to step out from the hot July sun. I have visited many caves before, but never one in which I got to wear headphones to guide me through. It was unexpected, but a fun little thing I didn't mind. My husband isn't a big fan of being underground, so he was glad that... More

This was an interesting experience, but it's one that you probably will not want to do more than one time. While I like that you are able to touch things in this cave where in many others you are not, it is very difficult to get to and if you are not in good shape, this is something to skip.

We visited over the summer. We were given antiquated listening devices, which my mom who is hard of hearing, had issues hearing. Also I had problems hearing the device, which no hearing issues. It was small, but interesting for a one time visit.I'd not need to return. The gift shop is ho hum. If you don't have time, I'd not... More

Hidden little place but awesome when you find it. I am glad I brought my sweatshirt because it was cold down there! Even in the summer if your little like me might want to bring a light jacket. Beautiful and fun times!
