The folks running the place were friendly and fun; the guided tour is informative and amusing. I thought I'd get claustrophobic, but did not have any trouble with that at all. Great experience!

We had planned a visit to see the caves but didn't know they closed at 3:30 to allow time for guests to complete the walk through. Coming back the next day was definitely worth it. The history and all the work to make is beautiful inside was breathtaking. Would go back anytime!

We drove for a long time but it was worth the drive. The cave was beautiful and the self guided tour with the head phones was very informative. The owners were very kind and suggested the best place for lunch. We found several souvenirs for or family as well as a wedding ring for my new husband.

Being a self guided tour I didn't think I would like the headsets but they were actually very informative! LOVED finding as many bats as we could!

The Onyx cave was easy to get to, the headphones helped you to hear all of the interesting things about the cave, yet it didn't bombard you with useless information and each stop to listen was not very long. It was great taking pictures in there and being with my husband looking at the different formations. It also was not... More

I've done a lot of cave tours, and this was the first one with an audio guide rather than an actual person. However, the price is much lower than most tour caves, so that's nice--and with an audio tour, you can go at your own pace, so if you're someone like me who likes to take a lot of photos... More

this was a neat little cave and the staff are super. it is a little chilly so wear a jacket and maybe some tennis shoes. Not Carlsbad caverns but totally worth it.

My family visited Onyx Cave the morning of what we were expecting to be a very rainy day. My mom is not much of a cave fan, and so she opted to stay on top of the hill with my nephew, who was asleep in the car. The woman who greeted us inside of the cave entrance was VERY nice... More

If you are looking for something quick and cheap to fill time between activities, this was great. An old fallout shelter, the audio guided tour will take you through the cave. Very quirky and we got some great photos. Not strenuous at all, the whole walking area was paved. There was one low spot, where I at 5'5" had to... More
