Self Guided Tour

This tour is pretty interesting. It is self guided tour using headphones and push button information stations. It is not a huge cave but it is very beautiful.

Neat cave, self guided tour still set up like an attraction from the 70's. All and all a good value if you like caves but not a "go out of your way to see" attraction.

Nice and cool break from the heat. Friendly employee and clean bathrooms. Educational self guided tour. Very reasonable to do.

We wanted to tour at least one cave during our stay in Eureka Springs and the Onyx Cave had the best price(s) around. The self-guided tour costs $7 (per adult) and includes a headset to listen to the pre-recorded "tour guide." If you follow the yellow line within the caves you can listen to the guide, but if you stray... More

Great cave, touring was wonderful and factual, grandchildren loved the cave and the diamonds. Must see and do

We took our 5 year old that was a little anxious about going down into a cave. After a few minutes in her headphones did stop working, but she didn't care, she ended up having a good time. It's a short walk and would definitely recommend closed toed shoes over flip flops. The gift house was not too expensive, we... More

Have been going here since before it became "known". Has always been a fantastic attraction, but has significantly improved over the years. Looks to be a bit on the unkempt side, but that just lends to the spelunking a wild cave feel. It has been expanded with a "new" addition that has been hidden for years, at least to the... More

We went on a tour of this cave and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. My daughter and I enjoyed see and learning about this cave and just where this onyx went at one time. Worth the trip!

Place has allot of potential. I just wish people would not throw the coins and garbage all over the place. So much reversable damage has been done to the cave. I saw 2 AAA batteries in different areas, rusting chew tins, gum wrappers and coins from as recent as 2005. If people stopped tossing these things and the owners killed... More

Nice enough grounds and helpful staff. The entrance to the cave is inside the gift shop and is a self guided tour. The headsets worked well and the information contained in the recording is very educational even though the recording itself is quite nostalgic. I had to giggle when it talked about being sure to throw your flash cubes into... More
