Enjoyed self tour of the cave with the "headphone guide" it was a neat place. Apparently old tape though, at the end it said "be sure to throw away any trash and flash bulbs" My daughter said, "what's a flash bulb?" lol More

This was a great entertaining thing to do, especially if you're on a budget! Family friendly and a nice escape from the summer heat. The formations are very interesting and, since it's self-guided, you can stay in there as long as you want without being rushed out! We go back every time we visit Eureka Springs! Also, the gift shop... More

Old. Dated. Smelly. Just find a rock on the river and you will have just as much fun. :) More

Onyx cave has a couple of rare formations. The tour is self guided with a head set narration and is an easy walk. It's not an exceptionally pretty cave but it is interesting. They have a nice gift shop with some unusual items. More

What can you say about a cave but it's underground, damp, and cool. It is a nice excursion, especially for kid's, and it's not too deep that you'll get scared........not like going deep into Carlsbad Caverns, but it's nice. More

The drive out to the cave was beautiful. Once you get there, you walk down a really long ramp, then go inside a house-they were eating lunch when we got there. You open a door off the gift shop, and down you go! They give you headphones, so it's a self guided tour, so you can take your time. Our... More

My wife loves onyx and wanted a ring made of it. I told her about the cave(I had been a couple of times in my youth) and I remembered a gift shop there. Plus we had seen the place in the movie War Eagle Arkansas. We drove to it. and I walked down to the entrance. I told the manager... More

I recently found a photo of myself at the top of the stairway, outside Onyx from the spring of 1953! What a great experience that was and every time since. Big thanks to to proprieters for keeping this piece of Americana alive for future generations! More
