You can go into the chapel for a brief visit and it is well worth the stop. Fascinating strucure. They provide you with a flyer that has the history which makes for an interesting side stop.

My family has been going to Eureka Springs since the early 80's. We don't always stop to see the Chapel, but if you've never been, it's worth the 15-20 minute stop ...make sure you read or hear the history while you're there.

(little over an hour drive) We arrived in time for the 11 am Sunday service, in which we attended;non-demonational. The music, the glass, architectural detail, and the awesome natural creation surroundings of rocks, moss, trees....was such a moving, peaceful and... More

An architectural must see. It not only is beautifully built but, the location which it sits, is a perfect location for this beauty.

Fay Jones architecture is as amazing as the beautiful site where this wood and glass chapel sits. Jones was a student of Frank Lloyd Wright and the school of architecture at University of Arkansas is named for him. You will notice Wright's influence throughout...but Thorn chapel is uniquely Northwest Arkansas.

his is a pretty place and it is worth a stop, but after seeing St. Elizabeth Church in Eureka Springs, I was rather underwhelmed. We didn't spend much time there. I am sure architects would be impressed, but it seemed raher cold to me.

Nice scenic drive...shor little walk up a path...unbelievable when you see it! Sitting inside is just breathtaking. We were there when the leaves were changing and I cannot even describe the beauty! There is not a fee but donations are accepted at the door.

Thorncrown Chapel is a great attraction to visit in Eureka if you have a short opening in your schedule. It's only a short walk down the trail, and is in a scenic spot in the woods. It's a photographer's dream--all the lines and angles! The story of the place is interesting, so you are lucky if you catch a tour.
