So clean, so clear. We could see our toes and the bottom of our boats engine. However, I couldn't justify a high rating because the boat ramp at the state park at the end of Mundell road has no curteosy dock..... Come on man! What's up with that Corp. Of engineers? Where is the money from the daily use fee... More

Very well maintained lake and properties controlled by the US Army, Core of Engineers; as all their propeties are. Check out all the signs well, we didn't, and were fined $30 for not paying a $4 picnic fee. We never saw the sign. Whomever tagged our vehicle could have just as easily approached us at the picnic table and we... More

Crystal clear, warm, and not crowded at all. Rent a boat at Starkey Marina and spend the day touring the lake and water's edge to little islands and inlets. Have a picnic. Unplug from your smartphone and clear your head. This is one of those places where you can do it!

I like lakes, been to a few since MidWest we have loads of manmade ones. This is a reservoir lake I believe, with a dam and such and it is huge, bigger than imagined. I've stayed on the Rogers side in Winter so took in beauty but didn't get to really explore and enjoy the lake until July. Wow. This... More

You can park on both side of the dam. Take a picnic lunch - the water is beautiful. It is on a crooked road off of a crooked road.

Rent a pontoon boat from Starkey Marina and explore this lake. It's gorgeous. It was such a fun day, and a nice break from the hustle and bustle of town.

One of those places you've got to visit to believe. The water is clear and magnificent views of the Ozarks!

Spend the weekend at Hickory Creek Park with the families on 4th of July weekend. I have to say that this park wasn't what I thought it is. The landscaping wasn't up to standard compare to other campsite that I've camp overnite, dishonest workers, firework show was a JOKE, and restroom near the boat launch is NASTY!!! The campsite didn't... More

Growing up going to Lake of the Ozarks, Beaver Lake is a refreshing change with clear water and it's not crowded so you can actually enjoy being out on the water. We love it!

A clean and well managed lake with great campgrounds. The points of interest are well marked and easy access. Below the dam are many great fishing areas, with several boat ramps. Take the time to get off the main roads and explore. We found hidden Forest Service campgrounds deep in the woods.
