My wife, 18 yo daughter and I enjoyed a nice picnic lunch and refreshing swim on our last visit (August 2014). Can't beat the view of the mountains and trees ...very relaxing afternoon!

I have hiked, camped and enjoyed boating at Beaver many times. The lake is very clean and beautiful. The late October fall color is not to be missed.

Beautiful and serene! A must-see in the Ozarks! You HAVE to cross the wooden bridge- it's amazing!! "Beaver Dam" is not a beaver dam, but a hydro-electric dam that has AWESOME views!

If you are a nature lover this is the place to stay. At Beaver Lake Cottages you can rent a pontoon for half a day if you wish. Tour the lake and it's beauty. Water is very clear.

Lots of scenic views. Blue water and beautiful trees - particularly when both are viewed in Autumn when the leaves are changing.

This is a great lake, the information walls near the damn were very informative. We took our pooch to the water quite often as loved the swimming.

Took a ride around the lake. Very beautiful and very scenic. Recommend going in the fall, for sure. The leaves were just beginning to turn this past weekend. Hwy 12 has the best tree viewing. .

Beautiful lake with easy public access and picnic areas. Several miles outside Eureka Springs, so doesn't appear too commercially developed. We went for scuba diving certification and were pleasantly surprised with the appeal of the area near the dam. We were near the dam and had to drive several miles into town for restaurants, but not a problem since only... More

If you get the chance take a ride on the Belle of the Ozark, it is worth the price and the folks quite knowledgeable about the history, they made it fun.

This lake is great for fishing, swimming in some areas, boating, picnic, gatherings, see some local wildlife, etc. It doesn't cost much to get a pass to enter the lake area. If you choose to use the BBQ pits, make sure to clean them thoroughly first, and beware of the fling insects. The swimming areas can get quite crowded. But... More
