It's very pleasant to look at as it stands in the main square of Ribe. It certainly has a presence. The inside is also very nicely preserved.

Walking through the town of Ribe, we were greeted by the beautiful domkirke of Ribe standing in the center of its square. The inside is more quaint than Roskilde but just as beautiful.

Started in 1150. Beautiful history, beautiful stained glass, spectacular pipe organ. And please take the hike to the top of the tower. over 240 steps but the view is priceless.

The Ribe Domkirke is in the mittel of the oldest town of Denmark, Ribe. The church is big, beuatiful, exiting and the history of the church is a importent part of the history of Denmark. There is a very nice wieu from the top of the church Tower. In good weather you can see the wadden sea, Esbjerg, the Whole... More

I have visited this small city on my business trip in Denmark. There is plenty of beautiful old houses with typical dannish architecture. Its very pleasant to walk around city and dont forget to taste perfect ice cream. Part of city is also in UNESCO. You can find lot of nice corners and places where to spend some time. Really... The church is gorgeous from the outside, though I do love the beauty and architecture of churches. Inside, for a small fee, you can wander the building. The wood work/carvings on the pews was amazing and I am always in awe of the stained glass windows. The museum is located on the second floor balcony. It was nothing special, but... More

This cathedral is a wonderful place to visit. It is a UNESCO protected site and the cathedral of the oldest town in Denmark. Especially the tower tour is great on a clear and sunny day. This town is so worth a visit.

As a cathedral is in nothing special. But the view from the tower is amazing. The glass mosaic windows by Carl-Henning Pedersen are a challenge and can give rise to many different opinions.

I'd say that this cathedral is not worth going out of your way to see. In fact it is pretty boring. It's not very big, and it doesn't have any interesting interior or decorated walls. In fact we thought the modern wall decorations at the altar end was pretty terrible. They charge you 20 kr. to walk up into the... More
