The cathedral is the center of the old town of Ribe and a real eye-catcher. You can see it from almost anywhere in town. The interior of the cathedral is not very spectacular, but the view from the top of the tower surely is. The admission for the church is free, but for the tower you pay 20 kr. which... More

This is a beautiful old cathedral that dominates the main city square and is just across from the Hotel Dagmar. If the weather is clear, a "hike" to the top of the belltower is well worth the climb. As the country side is quite flat, you can see for dozens of miles in all directions, and get a "bird's eyeview"... More

Ribe Cathedral in Roman style are in the middle of the old city. The church is located Pått large entirely paved square. Interestingly, the two towers from different periods of time and in a completely different style.

A cathedral in Denmarks oldest city. Impressive but in my opinion not unique. The tower is very popular among visitors as the view is great over the city and surrounding lowland. An interesting place to include in visiting the city of Ribe.

Ancient site and great old cathedral with some oddly modern (jarring?) touches. Please be respectful, it is a functioning place of worship!

I just visited before it's closed at 5:00 pm. No entrance fee for visit the church, except the tower, you have to pay 20 Euro. It's just located right in the middle of Ribe old town, and surrounded with old buildings. When I was there, it's on Sunday and there was a music performance. It's nice to walk around and... More

The church is interesting in its own right and has a museum inside, but the thing that made it best for us was the ability to climb the tower and look out over the town. Be aware that you will climb past the bells which can be loud when they ring. Lots of steps.

Lovely church in the centre of a huge square in the centre of the old town in the middle of the Danish countryside. The views from the top are well worth the climb up.

We had only planed a quick look at town centre but got lead astray by this wonderful quaint little town. Beautiful church and free to visit. A wonderful example of Danish churches. Surrounded by cobbled little streets and a cute centre. We spend three hours and will return next year to explore more.
