In 1875, Colonel Samuel West Peel built a marvelous villa tower Italiante mansion on the outskirts of Bentonville, Arkansas. It was a working farmstead surrounded by 180 acres of apple trees. The Peel Mansion is an outdoor museum of heritage roses, perennials, and native plants. Various vignette gardens are interlaced among curvilinear walks and large shade trees creating a most appropriate setting for this great historic building of Northwest Arkansas. Also on the site is the pre-Civil War Andy Lynch log cabin which serves as a gatehouse and Museum Store at the entrance to the grounds. *Tours are available every hour on the hour.* The Peel Mansion Museum & Heritage Gardens offers a variety of event options - wedding ceremony and reception, rehearsal dinners, group luncheons and tours, as well as civic or corporate events. We have the perfect venue for your special event!

This house can be visited in approximately 45 minutes by guided tour. The tour guide knew detailed info about most items in each room and quite a bit about the residents of the house, whether they were the original Peel family or the subsequent owners. The Lady running the shop is very proud of her space. She had great recommendations... More

I love it when a group of people save old historic homes, and knowing what this home went through it is quite impressive what has been done to it. I am sure the restoration was difficult, however I felt that a lot of the original feel of the home was lost. First of all it is in the parking lot... More

I took my two boys (4 and 6) on a tour of this mansion. It was fun to learn about the history of the house and the family that inhabited it. My boys learned a lot about daily life in the late 19th century and I loved hearing all the facts about the building of the house and how it... More

This lovely old home offers a glimpse of what grand homes were like that were built to last! With 6000 square feet of living space, this mansion offered both style and comfort in its day. The rooms are well-appointed with period appropriate furnishings and accessories. And our lovely guide definitely knew the history and was only too happy to share... More

Beautiful place to see the way of yesteryear. Wonderful staff. The ladies really gave us so much information. Simple and amazing lunch. The grounds small but beautiful. The log cabin gift shop was very unique. We really enjoyed this.

We showed up to see this and it was closed. The web site showed it as open. It actually looked like it was closed for a while. They should have a web site that is accurate.

We enjoyed our visit to the Peel Mansion - first went to the little shack in the garden - evidently this used to be the property of the Lynch family at Pearidge - until donated to the Peel Trust - this is now the gift shop - interesting range and very friendly girl. The tour of the house ( which... More

Very good tour guide. They are doing a lot of outside construction, so will look brtter later on. A good number of rooms. Tours begin on the hour. Good for about an hour on a rainy day.
