We have come to Mitry for a few years for a Putluck with the folks from our RV parks. We get a fire going and roast Hot dogs., play games and just have a great afternoon. They have a covered shelter which allows to be out of the sun if needed. Many people out in their boats fishing but believe... More

Yes, this lake is far for the people that don't life in the foothill. However, it is a big lake with lots of room to have on any water toy including a boat. My husband and I went out here a few times to go fishing from our kayaks and it was a lot of fun. The only thing I... More

Depending on the season you will see different birds and wildlife here. Lots of scrub brush and cactus. Nice view of the mountains in the distance. Not too many people visit this place. Dogs need to watch out for the cactuses.

Reedy and swampy, but our dog molly couldn't wait to jump in ! You can put in a canoe or small boat if you have one. We just enjoyed the contrast from dessert to water and the wildlife it provides.

Spent many hours at Mittry Lake. We swam there on Sundays and hunted and fished there alot. Be sure to check out the "nazi bridge" as we called it when we were kids. I have many wonderful memories from there

A nice place to launch a boat for some fishing or just sight seeing along the river. Or, take a ride on a dirt bike on some of the easy roads and trails. Or, just park you RV and enjoy the quiet nature of the area. The area is large enough to have a variety of parking places, with different... More

Lots of places where you can get close to the water. Good camping and hiking. Fair fishing and has good boat ramp with lots of parking across the road.

Enjoyed a relaxing stop at this place. Birds are fun to watch. Bathroom facility is there and we were able to have our picnic lunch right by the lake. Just a great way to escape and not that far from the city of Yuma.
