Good ride and very knowledgeable staff. Thought the ride would be more scenic. Entertainment was good. More

We just got back from our trip and enjoyed every minute, even the cheesy accordion player :-) What really was impressive was my wife incurred a very bad bout of altitudes sickness which caused us to postpone the trip the morning we were to leave. Heather at the depot office went out of her way to rearrange everything for us!... More

I wanted so much to LOVE the train. First, I love trains--especially vintage ones. Second, the write-ups promised so much--beautiful scenery, wildlife, first class service in carefully maintained vintage cars. I REALLY wanted to love this experience--in fact, I had been looking at it for a couple of years online and it was one reason behind our vacation this year.So... More

Taking the train from Williams to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon is a good way to spend a day. Train ride was relaxing with interesting scenery. The Canyon is indescribably beautiful. You are at the Canyon long enough to have a leisurely lunch and short walk along the rim or forgo the lunch and take the shuttle bus... More

I was in a party of 3 adults all 55 - 61 years old and we found this to be a really fun day out. It all starts with a comedy gunfight before you board. There are singers (who don't pester you for a tip), a guide who gives a lot of info and tells jokes too. Ice cold water... More

Recently took this train from Williams to the Grand Canyon, south rim. It was a beautiful, scenic and entertaining ride along the 60 miles of track to the canyon. Along the way you can still see the old covered wagon trails/road that skirt next to the tracks. Prior to the train ride we saw an old west town re-enactement which... More

Worth the money. Upgrade to Luxory Class. Staff made you feel welcome. Everyone has a sense of humor and judging by the huge crowds in coach class, Luxory class was by far the best option we could have went with. More

We selected the highest level of class, and while quite pricey, it was the best way to go. The luxury parlor class is the only class you are able to step outside on the back side of the train. Very nice to be able to do that every once in awhile. Ask for the Santa Fe car if available. Our... More

Scenic and slow enough to view the landscape and some wildlife. helpful guide on each rail car and entertaining musicians and Western characters. Met some nice fellow travelers and had a great time. Not quite enough time to see all we wanted to see of the closer areas of the South Rim of the Canyon. More
