I believe the IMAX theater is the first ever built and the film itself has seen it days too. But don't mind that the voice audio isn't properly synced to the lip movements: it's a great documentary with sweeping landscapes, good narration and interesting historical insight. We went hiking the Grand Canyon afterwards and I remember us reminiscing on the... More

The IMAX presentation billing says that they provide 4.3 million years of history, but it was sketchy at best and really never covered how the canyons were formed, etc. Three of us attended and we all felt like it was not worth the money.

I am a sucker for IMAX shows. This one is terrific. The aerial photography is spectacular and really provides a good understanding of the canyon and area. The attached souvenir shop is great with a range of interesting gifts.

This really puts the canton in perspective. Enjoyable for all ages. Gives you a breathtaking birds eye view of the canyon that you wouldn't see otherwise.

We thought this was going to cover more of how the Grand Canyon was formed but the movie was 30 years old and was a waste of time. The quality of the picture was terrible since it is so old...time to upgrade this movie.

I am sorry the movie did not meet your expectations. We have researched options to update the movie, but frankly, due to current regulations and financial restraints, there are many scenes in the movie that could never be replicated. I appreciate your comments, thank you/ Kind regards, Janet More

The movie gave us some interesting background on the place and its history. Unsure how much kids will be attracted (ours were not that keen), but for the adults it was very interesting.

The premisses of this theater are quite good and the quality of the film they were projecting when we visited, was also good. However, I missed more about the geology and how the Canyon was foamed, the various layers that has and so...The film describes basically a journey from the first explorers going to the Colorado River and the difficulties... The huge video screen and surround-sound audio provided a spectacular introduction the the National Park before we drove into the park itself. Although relatively short (half-hour), it was definitely worth the cost.

Well I thought it would be a good film. I didn't really like it. The film is old, I would say about 30 years old!!! But it still costs 27 dollars for two... However you can see nice places in the canyon.
