The Divine Dolphin has been taking people to encounter the glorious dolphins and whales since 1997. We celebrate the connection that people have with these amazing animals and have chosen the best places on Earth to do that. We are based in Drake Bay, Costa Rica where dolphin and whale encounters are available year round and we also have yearly trips to Bimini, Bahamas and Silver Bank, Dominican Republic to swim with the dolphins and whales. We have been featured on Animal Planet, The Travel Channel, Fine Living and in numerous magazines and publications. Dive on in and meet the Divine Dolphins and Whales up close and personal for yourself!

We were warned before the tour that the whale migration had not arrived and that we would probably not see any. We encountered so many dolphin's - common and spotted - as well as a sea turtle. The guides, Cindy and Sierra, are so passionate about the dolphins! Sierra sits on the bow of the boat to better spot anything... More

This trip was the highlight of our Costa Rica visit, by far! I have had the great pleasure to swim with dolphins before, ( Hawaii, New Zealand ) but this day with Sierra and her team was the best dolphin encounter of them all! The positive vibrant energy from everyone onboard working with Sierra to the magnificent dolphin experience.. what... More

We had a great day out on the water with Sierra and her team. Even though the weather was rough and raining we still saw so much wildlife. There were dolphins everywhere! Some were playing with the waves of the boat, some were fishing, and others just chilling out. We also saw rays, flying fish, and a huge humpback whale... More

We recently spent about a week in Drake Bay. Even before we arrived, I knew I wanted to take this tour with Sierra. Although the day we went out, the seas were rough and it was raining -- we still managed to see so much 'ocean' wildlife including several types of dolphins, flying fish, rays and .... a humpback whale... Sierra was certainly worthy of crossing rivers and drifting through the mountains in the early dew covered morning. The whole crew from the captain to the research assistants were very friendly, professional, and all had great intentions. They're truly out there to help these animals and it makes the tour that much better when you see the dolphins. If you're... More

We had a wonderful day with Sierra and her research assistants. We were fortunate to see nine humpback whales during our expedition. We also saw a couple of dolphins. We visited a waterfall that was beautiful! The knowledge we gained about whales and other marine wildlife was amazing. Sierra's love for the ocean and it's inhabitants was contagious. The staff... I've had several tours with The Divine Dolphin and they were all truly magical and amazing! I've seen a Mamma whale, her baby, and big males chasing after the Mamma. It's a life changing, breathtaking experience that is unlike no other. I've also lots of dolphins, some sea turtles, and even a cool sea snake. Because her heart is so... More

This was without doubt the highlight of my travelling around Costa Rica. Sierra is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to Whales, Dolphins and Turtles. I was lucky enough to see several female humpback whales with their calves, some mating olive-ridley turtles and too many dolphins to count. I liked the fact that once a whale had been spotted,... We were disappointed in our trip. The main guide Sierra was not very friendly. Her assistants were very helpful and nice. We did see some dolphins and whales on the trip. We wanted to find the spinner dolphins but she was more interested in staying by the main island. I would not recommend to anyone. I would do the dive... More

Sometimes reviews just really surprise me and I wonder what boat people were on!! On this tour we saw lots of Humpback Whales, including Mom and Baby whales and lots of Dolphins, but the reviewer only wanted to see Spinner dolphins so instead of enjoying what was in front of her, she complains about what she did not see. August... More

A rain storm in Drake Bay left us without power or the means to contact the owner of Divine Dolphin to inform her that our son was very sick...prior to 24hours to request a reschedule for our tour. Once our hotel owner was able to contact Sierra -14 hours in advance- she was annoyed that she had made lunch already... More
