All our vacations in recent years have been nature-focused, a safari in Central Africa, an excursion with Philip Smith to photo kiwi at night in New Zealand, visiting African penguins near Cape Town, Africa among others. This tour is so good that, even though we did it four years ago, we were driven to do it one more time during... More

Went on the night tour with Tracie and John. They were both lovely, friendly, knowledgeable and did an amazing job of making everything so interesting. So pleased that we did this tour and loved what we saw on it. For those who don't like insects and creepy crawlies, this is still a fascinating tour and you can get as close... More

Went out with Tracie and John last night. They made the rain forest come alive for us with their knowledge and enthusiasm. This duo is certainly an impressive team as the found frogs and bugs and even mammals to show us and allow us to see them in their habitat as the shared what made each insect, bird, animal uniquely... This was my first night tour and I was blown away. The jungle is indeed alive at night. The guide was very knowledgeable and took the creepiness out of my experience. It was a marvelous time and provided lots of memories for my notebook. I hope to take my kids some day.

This was the best tour I did in Costa Rica. I was lucky to get in as I only booked a few days in advance and when I arrived in the area I was told it was booked solid for two weeks!! The knowledge, enthusiasm and passion that Tracie and Gianfranco had was amazing. They made a point of showing... More

Tracie and her associate took us on a two and a half hour night tour and showed us all kinds of insects, snakes, animals and birds that you would never see on your own. Her explanations concerning the creatures she finds is astonishing. One of the things she did is something I wish all of the guides would do. The... More

Even if you are uncomfortable with things that go bump in the dark, you will be amazed when you meet Tracie the Bug Lady and her husband John. Personally, i have a fear of spiders, but do love reptiles. So a night walk is always a good news/bad news thing for me. And although we saw a number of arachnids,... More

Four of us took this tour our first night in Drake Bay, and it was just fantastic. Tracie is mesmerizing. The night was capped off when Gian found a velvet worm, which is unbelievably rare. Top notch. Tracie and Gian even send you a pdf file of everything you saw on your tour with pictures and links.
