Take the horses please......my wife and I tried to hike it with her daughter and son in law......not a good idea for those built for comfort, not speed !! The kids made it and say its magnificent, we got about half way and found a beautiful stream to soak our feet in before heading back !!! The walk is beautiful... More

What a beautiful waterfall! We were desperate for some cold water as the ocean doesn't really cool you down and our guide at Manual told us about these waterfalls. It's $8 from the same place you go on the horseback tour with. The hike of 4kms from the lower parking lot wasn't fun. it took us an hour and we... More

Our entire family did the horseback ride to Nauyaca Waterfalls, on the trip to the waterfalls, we stopped at local restaurant, great food, monkeys and birds. The waterfalls are beautiful and fun to have a swim in, they also setup a climbing rope and people climbed up and jumped in the falls.

We did a little research and determined this is where we wanted to go to see waterfalls. What a GREAT choice! The waterfalls were awesome – very tall, lots of water flowing, and you could swim at the bottom of the falls (if you’re able to stand the cold water). We left the Marriott Los Suenos a little before 10am... More

The Don Lulo horseback ride to the Nauyaca Falls was the highlight of our 4 weeks in Costa Rica. I had only been on horseback once before, many years ago, and it hadn't been a spectacular experience so I was a tad nervous. But I loved this trek! Slow pace, gentle horses, beautiful scenery, I didn't need the bug spray... More

Great ride to a lovely little restaurant for a quick morning snack then off to the falls....by the time you get there you're sweating and can't wait to jump into the chilly water and swim over to have the waterfall beat down on you. They set up a rope climb for those brave enough to jump 20-30 feet into the... More

We have done several tours during our two week stay here and this one by far wins top prize. My 3 young boys 14, 12 and 10 never rode a horse before. They had an amazing time. The horses are well trained and the guides are great at matching the riders with the right horses. We first rode to a... More

According to his grandchildren, Don Luco took a leap of faith to sell his cows and buy horses for his waterfall excursions. It was a brilliant decision. Three generations now run the travel shop off the main road, care for the horses, cook meals for travelers arriving by horseback, and take visitors down to the falls. This scenic set of... More

After arriving at the office on the main road, we were trucked up to the start of the horseback portion of the trip. Our guides were all very friendly. The horses know where they're going, but you definitely need to guide them. The ride was great, and the tour included breakfast on the way up, and lunch on the way... More

Our group of four enjoyed this horseback ride to the falls immensely. The tour guides are so helpful getting you set up with the right horse for your riding experience from beginner to expert. The horses are gentle and well cared for. You begin at the office while you wait for everyone in your tour to arrive and pay. The... More
