Dr Jay is the BOMB!!! This was by far the best way to tour Tombstone. He as interesting, entertaining, insightful, and extremely engaging!!!! From my 65 year-old parents to my 10-year-old son, we all learned so much. He knows his stuff and knows how to deliver it. Please, please do not skip this, but make it a must-do when in... More

We went on a Ghost Tour the night before and were somewhat entertained, but heard that Dr. Jay really walks the talk! He is a veritable fount of all things Tombstone. He backs everything he says with research as he's a diligent historian. There are many other talents. He has acted, been recognized as historian to a TV series and... More

There's a reason Dr. Jay has five stars on Trip Advisor! His tour was engaging for our whole family (no small feat when you have one history buff, a toddler, and someone who's just along because it sounded kinda cool). He has great tips about other Tombstone attractions, knows a great deal about the town and its history, and seems... More

Dr. Jay makes the real Tombstone come alive! He was humorous, knowledgeable and animated. He chatted with everyone in the group and even remembered where we were from and what our interests were. The walking tour was by far the best part of our day in Tombstone. We even met a couple in our RV park who had been married... More

Dr. Jay met us on time, and chatted while we waited for the rest of the group to arrive. Small group, about 10 people. The man has his shtick down to a tee, but answers questions readily. He's probably heard them all before. The walk is brisk. This guy walks fast for a 67 year old. You can tell he... More

We had heard this was a great way to see the town and get real information about Tombstone and it's history. By far the best. The group was small enough that you can hear his stories. Dr Jay knows his stuff and kept it interesting. Well worth the money but book early as when we called at 8 am they... More

I went on a 3-hour walking tour with Dr. Jay in March on a research trip to Tombstone with my NAU Honors Class. It was my first time to Tombstone and Dr. Jay made the town's history come alive with his fascinating anecdotes and great sense of humor. Dr. Jay had really good information on Tombstone that you wouldn't be... More

We had a great time with Dr. Jay and his walking tour. He is a historian who is also a humorous entertainer. It was interesting to hear the true facts about the OK Coral gunfight and the history of Tombstone.

I visited Tombstone for a research trip with my NAU Honors class. Dr. Jay is not only fun to listen to but very knowledgeable about Tombstone and the Old West. His love of the history is evident when he speaks about life in Tombstone in the old days. Would definitely recommend this tour if you want some real history but... More

Being that it was my first time in Tombstone, Dr. Jay's Walking Tour was a fantastic way to dive right into the town. The purpose of the trip for me was to conduct research for a college course I am currently taking surrounding the American West - specifically Tombstone. Dr. Jay had a lot of information on not only the... More
