If you're in AZ and have a day to take in some history. Look no further than Tombstone. Its a reasonable drive from Phoenix and you really don't need more than 3-4 hours once you're there to get a flavor of it. There's ample things to spend your money on. It is a tourist trap, I mean, what you do... More

Loved the atmosphere of the town, Loved the period actors wandering around the town. Liked the OK Corral re-enactment. Free parking for most if not all of the town - reasonable prices. Not fond of the one store that sold moccasins and cowboy boots. I felt like a criminal with the shop keeper glued to my butt while I was... More

Not much to differentiate old Tombstone from any other tacky tourist site. The history is there, but you have to look for it. The visible stuff is all artificial with the usual foreign made souvenirs that you find anywhere in the world. Kids will have fun with the cowboys, stage coaches and shooting galleries, but don't expect much more than... More

Wood sidewalks, gun fights, stagecoach, covered wagons, buckboard rides. Great history. I enjoyed walking around and seeing everything I could see. Buildings have been restored and some are so awesome while others are restored to look new. Not old

This is a great place for families. They have gun fights in the street, people who are dressed up like the old west, horses, and to top it off the fight at OK Coral. Everyone has seen movies or read books, why not learn the real history. This is a fun place for families. We stayed in motel, but I... More

Family from Seattle came down and wanted to see a real western town. We went to Tombstone. The hysterical, not the historical, Tombstone gunfighter caught our attention. The family enjoyed some funny moments and good lines. The characters were great and kept it clean for the kids. With the $10 combo admission you get the trolley tour of town, which... More

I felt as if I stepped back in time! Everyone in this town plays the part. There are stagecoach rides, mine tours, gun fights, saloons, haunted tours, the list goes on and on. The gunfight at the OK Corral is a must see also. ( separate charge).
