I have to agree with previous reviewers - this is the most authentic attraction in Tombstone. We also went to the cemetery where we took photos of some of the more humorous headstones but I wonder how authentic it actually is. My husband is a huge "wild west" fan and he'd seen enough after walking down the main street, which... more

We visited Tombstone in March 2009 and enjoyed our entire visit. The Cochise County Court House is where our day began and I think it really set the tone for the day b/c so much of Tombstone centers around the law and lawlessness and vigilante justice of the time. Kept up and maintained nicely. Informative. Worth the $4.00 entry fee. more

Planning a trip to Tombstone? Not sure which "historic" saloons or "wild west" shows you want to see? How about this: skip the touristy nonsense, and head straight to the Tombstone Courthouse. As of 2008, it costs $4 per person to see the museum, and it's worth every penny. It's actually an Arizona state park, and as such presents just... more

For all the tourist tinged hotelsand pseudo-attractions, the courthouse offers a real taste of the true west. To my family, this is the only - I do mean only real experience in Tombstone. Take your time, enjoy yourself, and then go do the rest. I'm sorry - skip the rest and move on to Bisbee or other close towns/attractions. more

I'm very surprised that the Courthouse isn't rated the #1 attraction in Tombstone. In my opinion, none of the other attractions can even come close to what this place offers. We only spent a couple of hours as we were on our way out of town and I could easily have spent triple that amount of time. It's wonderfully authentic... more

Operated by the State Parks service, the court house is a great museum. Lots of information, photos, and displays about the real history of Tombstone. Spend your valuable time here. The small entrance fee is well worth it! more

We visited Tombstone, AZ last month because I had read so much about it's history and wanted to see it first hand. We found nothing to hold our interest on Allen Street, but the Court House Museum was easily the best attraction in town mainly because it was real and did not pander to tourists. Admission was $4.00 and there... more

The Court House is the only place in town to get the unvarnished truth on Tombstone. So much of Tombstone history has been "tampered" with and therefore is very hard to sort out. Offering, the real story with artifacts from all over town, tidbits and trivia on the town and it's history from it's beginings until today. Admission covers the... more
