Living in Arizona in the early 60's, it was not unusual to make the trek south from Tucson to visit Tombstone. During a recent visit, I found the change in atmosphere was kind of sad: like too many other Old West attractions the commercialization is disappointing, with too much emphasis on entertaining tourists as opposed to educating them. Further disappointment... More

The area of the shootout has been completely destroyed, with a high wall constructed at the side of Fremont Street blocking access to the site. To the best of my knowledge 5 cowboys were involved at the start of the incident along with 2 horses but no horses are shown. During the shootout 2 cowboys ended up on Fremont St.... More

Wyatt Earp's own map of the Gunfight is on display in the O.K. Corral and shows that only 4 cowboys were present at the start of the Gunfight. There is considerable disagreement as to how many, if any, horses were present, and where they were located. As the Gunfight progressed, the participants scattered to avoid the hail of bullets. Some... More

Much fun was had by all! That includes 2 teenage girls who haven't seen the movie and knew none of the history. See the gun fight and eat at the crystal palace. The courthouse down the street is a must for the history buff in the family. Go!

It was fun and our daughter really liked it. It was entertaining and fun for the price. I recommend it. Of the things in Tombstone, it was a top item.

Have not been there for years and in the past this was more comical. This year they hired excellent actors who really played it up and did a fantastic job at it. Liked it so much better.

I'll start with the cons: it is definitely a tourist trap, the acting is cheesy, and some of the displays could use some updating. Now the pros: despite the above mentioned cons, I'm extremely glad we went. I'm shocked that so many reviewers complain about the "tourist" feel of the place (what else did they expect from a tourist attraction?!).... More
