We just returned from our trip to Tempe to see the Angels' spring training game. We sat behind home plate in section 11, row R, seats 3 and 4. The leg room in these seats was terrible. I am a 6' tall man and my knees barely fit in front of me. The were painfully jammed up against the seat... More

We visit this stadium yearly for spring training. Facilities are nice however only seats 9500 which means by mid march it is packed and prices increase because of it $20 for a berm seat...REALLY?? Need to extend the berm or consider adding seats. Other stadiums got Tempe beat. We our devout angel fans...so this is what we do.

Late March Spring training game was so hot we left in 5th inning, and my husband (along with most of the crowd) stood up above the seats in the shade rather than endure the heat in the seats. Some misters in the stadium, or some cool towels for the seats would have saved a lot of burned legs. On the... More

It's a great stadium, very laid-back atmosphere. And the Angels play there! The only downside is how crowded the concourse gets during games. They allow fans to stand in portions of the concourse to watch a game, and it really impedes foot traffic. Other than that, it's got decent food, and great craft beers.

We have been going to spring training in Tempe for 16 years - and when we started this facility was ideal. But as the phenomena of spring training has grown, this facility has not grown with it. Given the crowds, many games are SRO - it is virtually impossible to walk in the aisles - to the point that it... More

Great stadium to see a ballgame at. Parking is a little tough because of the downtown location. Plan on walking for a ways. One of the older stadiums but still a great place to watch a game.

Diablo Stadium is one of the older but more picturesque settings of the venues in the Cactus League. The word is out that you had better be prepared to get baked by the desert sun though. The shade is at a premium and on a hot day, the concourse is your only respite. Great staff and some of Spring Training's... More

we enjoyed our baseball day in the spring. Nice facility, but NO shade. Spring training facility brought game very close to the fans

In town from Texas for spring training. Concourse impassable because it was the only shaded area. Food was tasty but expensive. Friendly staff. Only park we visited that had bleachers on the front row past the visitor dugout. Paid for a front row ticket only to have bleacher butt!!
