Great way to learn about Tempe's history

Small museum, but full of info. Would be great for kids- a number of interactive activities. Lots of history of Tempe- especially ASU

Discovering this delightful museum after attending a class at the library next door was the frosting on the cake, so to speak. The staff go out of their way to showcase this chock-full-of-history museum. It's a great find for families as the kids will have plenty to keep them entertained. And adults can certainly enjoy the varied displays.

Free is good. This is a nice place to come and stay out of the heat of the day. Interesting info and they have a nice place for kids the participate in play and arts and crafts. The library is across from this building and they have a great selection of discounted books if you don't want to use your... More

The museum is well maintained by the city and hosts loads of information about Tempe and its history. They also have a lawn where they frequently have live performances which is very enjoyable.

Great museum on the history of Tempe. Really great topics and very interesting. There was a international instrument band playing there which was really cool to see all the different instruments. There is a really good library that was fun to stop into and browse and read a bit while we waited for the museum to open and there was... More

Enjoyed taking our grandsons to this gem. The Museum is very well done, neat and informative. Lots of interesting things for the kids and great information for adults. We found out so much about Arizona. The price was right too (donations). Thank you Tempe for this fine museum.

This is a well-maintained museum on the history of the City of Tempe. There is much dedicated to the music scene from the Tempe area. The museum sponsored regular concert. There is no admission fee for the museum or the concerts.

I was surprised by the detail that has gone into this place. My daughter absolutely loves coming here. I really liked the Tempe Music scene display myself. Very cool place to check out for central Arizona residents.

The Tempe History Museum is a great family-friendly venue that offers low cost and free activities such as lectures, musical performances, hands-on activities, festivals and events. They have a large one room exhibition space that has a permanent exhibit featuring information about the history of the community. It is a great place to quickly get oriented to the community either... More

Went in here and it was really neat to see the displays that they have of Tempe. It's in the same complex as the library.
