We went to all three Phoenix Area water parks over the Memorial Day holiday in 2006. We liked all of them, but Big Surf seemed to be the family favorite. The surf really is "BIG" compared to the other two, and the Wave Pool is larger also. The only thing Big Surf lacks is a parental favorite, the Lazy River.... more

Big surf is big fun all the way all day. fun for all of the family, toddlers through the elderly, just bring sunscreen and they have the water and the waves. The best water park in the Phoenix metropolitan area is Big Surf. Relax on the grass, soak some shade, catch a wave or whoohoo a slide - its got it. And it gets crowded but not as crowded as the other parks. One can body surf all the way when it isn't too crowded -cool. more

Big Surf is by far the best of the 3 water parks in Arizona. I have been coming to the park for over 20 years and now bring my children with me. The wave pool is the best - Sunsplash is pitiful in comparison. more
