Great corse, but undulations galore

nothing else was even adequate. We've play a ton of courses in the Scottsdale area and this was, by far, the worst. Bad range balls, no short game area in sight, can't even chip on the putting green, tee time was delayed because no carts were available, "Bob," our starter was unfriendly, the course is poorly designed with tons of... Every trip to Phoenix is not complete until I play here. The hospitality is always first class. The course is always in top condition and the greens always putt true. My only gripe about this course is the driving range but I understand their lack of land to put in a first rate range. A true Pete Dye course. It... More

But we still enjoyed the round. As long as you can keep off the many mounds that add to the challage of this track you'll be fine. The mounding can be tough.pass was slower than we like even with an 8:30 t time???? Pro shop has a big selection of golf and ASU wear. Pass on the club house for... More

Challenging on more than one level. The course itself is challenging enough with it's undulations and challenging holes. In addition to that, the round took 5+ hours. I'm not certain why, but the ranger said there wasn't anything they could do about it. I'm assuming that means it's 'normal'. I was trying to play this course as part of a... More

Booked a large group and when we got there, they were running half an hour behind schedule and last 2/5 groups could not play the 18th. Tee boxes were not in the greatest of shape. Also, the pace of play due to a couple of early poor pin placements took close to 2:45 for the front nine. Back 9 was... More

This is one of my favorite places to play in Scottsdale. From the staff to the course it is top notch. The restaurant in the club house always has a great meal for you to order from. The Pro shop always stocks great clothes and other items. Very friendly staff, that is my favorite thing about the course. The greens... More

Our group played here June 12th, and enjoyed the round. The greens were moist and very undulating. The fairways were plentiful with sand traps and their own mounds and undulations. Staff was very friendly and the 19th hole was wonderful and spacious. I would play here again as the summmer price was perfect at $27.

Great track with a lot of history tied to ASU. Front 9 is target golf where accuracy off the tee enhances your ability to score well. Nice pace to greens and well manicured course. Back 9 is a totally different golf course. Longer, wider fairways, challenging water related hazards. 14-18 is a great stretch of holes. Hurry up and play... More

Great course that requires you to stay in the middle. Lots of mounds to climb over. I have been there many times and the course is well maintained and you should not lose any balls. Great greens that putt true. The food and service is great for a golf course. Get there soon as it is going away moving toward... More

We played ASU Karsten as well as a few other courses while in Phoenix. The course was nice enough but many of the holes seemed fairly similar. It didn't seem to be too difficult a course as you could usually recover from a bad tee shot with it being a links style course. I will say that it wasn't too... More
