If you are able to be in Phoenix (Tempe) when the students of ASU are on holidays (such as at Christmas/New Year) then you will have no trouble parking nearby. It is worth the walk all the way around the building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and appreciate its uniqueness. Don't leave Arizona without seeing this building.

We came to the Gammage and hour to forty five Minute before the show began. Parking was starting to fill up and folks from around tempe/ASU also walking in from the street. Parking lot was easy to navigate and big. We showed our tickets on the smart phone. quick and easy getting in, the staffing at the front door were... More

This is one of the few places in the Phoenix area where we can see Broadway shows. The touring companies are generally quite good and the theater has acceptable acoustics. One of the less attractive aspects of the theater is that they allow folks to bring food and drink to their seats-- not a great idea. The seats are comfortable... More

We just saw the Book of Mormon here. First row in the balcony. I suggest you avoid this row unless you have a very long torso. At 5'4", the railing is at eye level. It was uncomfortable to find a way to sit where the rail does not obscure the view. Secondly, I agree with the other reviewers that the... More

We saw Book of Mormon here last night, row 6 seats 34 and 36. The show itself was incredible -- one of the funniest things I've ever seen, and an amazing production. But it was almost ruined by Gammage itself. The acoustics were AWFUL. Spoken words were fine, but any musical number (more than dozen in BoM) was completely unintelligible.... More

We saw Book of Norman and had good seats in the center of the third row of the first balcony. There is great legroom and comfortable seats. Our main complaint was the muffled sound which made it difficult to catch all the witty dialogue of this production. This is after the sound system was overhauled this year! The theater is... More

What will it take for someone to pay attention and do something about the horrible condition of ASU Gammage Auditorium. I am constantly falling in this trap over and over. I want to see the Broadway plays, pay the money to get a good seat but end up leaving very upset because of the poor quality of the sound acoustics... More

Although we are U of A supporters, and Tucson residents, we drive all the way to Tempe (over 100 miles) to see a show, rather than subject ourselves to the awful Centennial Hall on the U of A campus. The latter has terrible acoustics, many seats very far away from the stage, and seating that has you "looking through" the... More

Went here to see "The Book of Mormon" and really loved the show but the sound system needs improvement. A lot of the words where hard to understand due to the speaker system affecting the actors' speech. Beyond that it was a lovely environment with a solid staff.

My wife and I attended a Saturday matinee of The Book of Mormon. After spending over $200 per ticket for row 7 we expected fantastic seats. Unfortunately we couldn’t understand 75% of the dialogue due to the terrible quality of the sound system. What a disappointment. We left ten minutes before the show ended and found that the sound in... More
