This was wonderful to visit the area and this museum. The Fort is active and very nice. The museum had very good displays and information on the area and the reason for it being established. One of the museum buildings was being renovated but still was open so it was interesting to see some of the displays.

The museum is a bit hard to find. It is on the base at Ft. Huachuca. It has a large collection of military memorabilia which dates back to the day of the Buffalo Soldiers. The tour is a self-paced tour through a series of exhibits. Most of the exhibits are non-interactive, but they are educational. If you find yourself asking... More

Always a must when visiting the Sierra Vista area...the museum is run by an all volunteer staff & the displays are educational. A lovely tribute to the U S ARMY !! There are 2 buildings so make sure to go to both. You can finish off your visit by walking just across the street & walk onto the historic &... More

I have lived in this city for the past 30 years, and retired from Fort Huachuca a few years ago. Every time we have visitors come to town, we take them to this museum!!!! Very educational, very well put together!!!

It's been a few years since I've visited the museum. The last time I was there, back in 2010 they were doing some redesigning on the main floor of the main museum. It’s a neat museum with several locations which each tell a different story. The main museum is on part of the Old Post; I think it’s in what... More

Very informative and good displays. I don't understand the people that say it's difficult to find - but then I hear the same thing when people visit Bisbee and everything here is pretty much located on one of two streets, so I guess most tourists are just directionally challenged... Anyway, this museum takes you from the founding of Fort Huachuca,... More

Be sure to stop by the main museum on the post. Life sized soldier figures in period uniforms. Great display of Remington works, second floor.

Upon arrival at the main gate of the Fort we were given a base map. Even with that the museum as a bit hard to find. The museum is divided between 3 buildings so it was a but uncomfortable going between the buildings in 100 degree weather. Enough of the negative, the museums ware a wealth of knowledge about not... We did this yesterday (5/22/14). It took us about an hour to find the actual museum. The name of the roads on this base are constantly changing and there are not enough signs. In addition there are those european round-abouts everywhere sending cars in various directions. Horrible. We even had a map provided by the guard at the entrance and... More

Very interesting museum on the history of Fort Huachuca. Starting with the first soldiers arriving there. and the reason behind the starting of the Fort. A nice history of the Buffalo soldiers. A must see if you are in the area.
