My expectations were far exceeded. The location of the ranch is close enough to get to from Sedona, but far enough out to allow you to hear nothing but the horses hooves on the trail and the occassional bird... trail rides are trail rides but this one felt different. From the moment we pulled up to the ranch to the... More

Please understand that the M Diamond Ranch is a real working ranch that graciously allows visitors, not a tourist attraction made to "look local." Set outside the red rocks of Sedona, this vast expanse of wide open space showcases the more desert-like geography of the region, really highlighting just how much the Arizona landscape can change every few miles or... My wife and I have ridden horses twice before near our home, and decided while in Sedona for the week that we should go for a ride. M Diamond ranch was perfect, they accommodated us same day and it was just us and our wrangler Bill on the two hour ride. The views from the Ranch are amazing, the horses... More

We originally booked the cowboy cookout with the one hour trail ride. But, the weather would not let us ride, so disappointed, but do realize no one controls that. Thankfully, they still said we could come to the ranch and have the cookout and just spend some time. The meal was awesome, great steak! Alvie, the entertainer, was a gem!... More

The weather is just always a challenge! We do not ride when the trails are wet and slippery, or when there are thunderstorms in the area. But we do try to accommodate guests by rescheduling rides and doing the dinner at our all-weather cookout site. So happy you enjoyed the evening and our wide open spaces. More

Did the hour horseback ride and cowboy dinner. Horses were very gentle and did the nose to tail, single file thing (which was what I expected). The guide was not particularly interactive with us, but I don't think that is typical. Although this ranch is near Sedona, this is not a red rock scenic ride (nor is it advertised as... More

Glad you enjoyed the evening Ranch Rendezvous ride and cookout. It is the most popular thing we do, so the ride is at a walk nose to tail for safety since we almost always have people who have never ridden before. By special request that ride can be longer and private giving more options for giddyup at the wrangler's discretion.... More

I grew up riding but my husband and I both might ride once every 1-3 years now. We initially had booked a pink jeep/horseback riding tour but changed to a horseback only ride with a jeep tour later in the week to save our aching limbs. We had a private ride with Bill on Kick and Wilma. A nice 2-2.5... More

Thanks for your review and the tip about doing jeep tours and horseback rides on different days. Other guests have also told me they like to "spread out the fun" that way. More

Myself and four classmates from nursing school turned 65 years old this year. We normally go to the beach but decided to do something different and a bit out of the box for us - kind of a bucket list thing! We chose an hour horseback ride followed by a delicious steak dinner at M Diamond. We all had a... More

My husband booked us a trail ride for my birthday and it was wonderful. As someone who grew up riding horses but due to life getting in the way during adulthood, I was grateful for the gesture itself just to be around horses again. I have been on numerous trail rides in my life and they're usually very touristy with... More

Lately we have had several couples such as you, where one is a more experienced rider than the other. So, we have made some modifications to our trail, and I'm really glad to hear that you BOTH enjoyed it. Thanks for your review! More

We loved our time at M Diamond Ranch! We did the evening Ranch Rendezvous and it was so relaxing. We were originally booked in for a Wednesday night, but Peggy contacted us a few days before to check for flexibility seeing as the weather forecast was for a storm. I appreciated the heads up! We rescheduled to Friday and avoided... More

We have had ourselves an unusually productive monsoon season this year, and we really hate to disappoint guests, so we appreciate it so much when you can be flexible with the dates you visit. Thank you and thanks for your visit and kind review. More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a cowboy sunset ride & cookout on our last night in Sedona, and we were completely thrilled! The staff was very knowledgeable, kind, FUN, and made our trail ride very enjoyable. Perhaps the OTHER highlight was the cowboy from Cottonwood who serenaded us with Johnny Cash, Charlie Daniels' Band, and other GREATS during our... More
