Doug was our pilot and also the owner. His lift off was perfect and his landing was spectacular. We slowly touched down without a bump right in the middle of the road where the truck was waiting. He has 7000 hours of balloon flying and really makes it look easy. The view were amazing. They picked us up at 5:35... More

The Sunrise Balloon Ride managed to get the 12 passengers plus pilot into the air barely in time to see sun rise, missed all the pre-sunrise color changes. Our flight went only 2,960 feet up, others went higher. We never got close to red rocks (dangerous wind currents). But the other company seems to get closer to rock formations snd... More

This was a wonderful experience in Sedona. You need to make reservations ahead of time, which I would recommend for early in your visit. Be prepared that this trip can be cancelled due to weather, which happened to us. Luckily we were able to reschedule for later in the week. This was our first hot air balloon ride and I... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our first hot air balloon ride over the Red Rocks with Northern Light Balloon Expeditions. Northern Light has five balloons, and four of the five have smaller baskets, which hold 7-8 people max. This was a big advantage, as far as we were concerned because we wanted a more intimate experience. When we booked, we requested to... More

This was my first hot air balloon ride and I was admittedly nervous! However, it was incredibly peaceful and smooth. You could hardly tell you were even moving. We watched the sunset as we glided over the gorgeous Sedona landscape. I highly recommend.

This service is worth every, single penny my friend and I spent. We just loved it. We got a Sedona history lesson, a geology lesson, and it was the most incredible, and safe journey. We were treated like Queens, WE had the absolute BEST pilot, his name was Daniel. We highly recommend this flight service.

I have to admit I was scared to ride a balloon. But it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The ride was flawless. The views were breathtaking. The guide (Blair) was great. Do not miss.

It was like having a geology lesson. The teacher in me really enjoyed learning about the area. Our captain was adept at handling the balloon and we felt very safe. The views were great. It is more of a peaceful experience and not really for excitement. I'm glad we did it, but once was enough.

This adventure was unbelievable! It was by far the best thing we did while we were there. It was worth every penny. Every member of the balloon team was so pleasant and friendly. Our pilot Ron was so knowledgeable and friendly. We will be returning to Sedona with our children so that they can experience this as well. They even... More

I had visions of flying over red rock in a balloon with my family after a recent trip to Sedona. Unfortunately, this did not take place as all we did was hover in the same location for about an hour. We did not get close to red rock. We did not cross any red rock or mountains. We did cross... More
