Whenever reading about the names of things like rock formations and constellations, you often see very little resemblance to the name. This is not the case with snoopy rock. All you have to do is look in the right direction, and know what snoopy laying down looks like, and anyone can see it. Not sure if there are any trails... More

You can see Snoopy Rock from town, although I'm sure a hike to it would be fun. Really does look like Snoopy! Probably moreso from a distance, and less so upclose.

Some of the formations around the Sedona area are appropriately named and others are a mystery. However, Snoopy Rock looks exactly like Snoopy lying on his back on top of his doghouse. This is one of our favorites as it is visible from our timeshare in Arroyo Roble and we see it every morning when we have coffee on our... More

A rock formation visible from Old Town, the resemblance isn't nearly as bad as the constellations. Looks like the famous Peanut's dog laying on his back as though on his dog house.

Take this if you have a jeep only... If you make it to the top, the views are drop dead gorgeous. The trek to the top is bumpy all the way up..not fun. but is worth the effort.

This is a must see. I was amazed by this formation. It really looks like Snoopy laying down. One of the best I saw there.

We totally lucked out on our trip to Sedona and got a perfect view of Snoopy Rock from our room (#309) at the Orchard Inn! This is a great location for families with lots of shops and dining right outside your door, too. ;)

In Sedona, this small city in Arizona, known for its vortexes, you can find many mountains. They are all full of layers that show millions of years of mother earth´s work. Many have special names that are easy to recognize because the format resembles the name. The mountain called Snoopy actually it was relatively easy for me to recognize. It... More
