I read reviews that said 4 wheel drive is required to drive on Schnebly Hill Road. We rented a Jeep Compass with 4 wheel drive. This vehicle was not appropriate at all for this type of off-road driving! So, we went to Barlow Jeep Rental in Sedona and they rented us a high clearance Jeep Rubicon. If you are not... More

The views from here are really spectacular! While riding around In a Pink jeep, we experienced a hail storm making the view even more exciting. When in Sedona, be sure to ride up this road to enjoy the rocks.

The Huckaby (Sp?) trail that winds three miles around the hills of Sedona provides a number of viewpoints overlooking the valley in which the town rests...it follows Oak Creek down the valley. A nice cardiovascular walk!

Schnebly Hill Road is a quiet park with beautiful gardens and red rock views! Enjoy conversations with others taking in the views.

We did the pink jeep tour up this road - which starts out in Sedona as a residential road for maybe a mile, but becomes an OFF ROAD experience. We took the pink jeep experience to Carousel Rock. Do not take this in a regular car or vehicle!! You need 4 wheel drive and high clearance!!

We did a tour with one of the Jeep Companies up Schnebly Hill road. (See that review for details). The vistas to be seen along the road are awesome from the Cow Patties to Merry Go Round Rock, Snoopy Rock, Bat Rock and more. This is a great place to go and see Sedona from on high. Just know that... More

There are very nice rfed rock and Sedona views until you get to the parking lot just past where the pavement ends. I have a stock SUV with 4WD and planned to go all the way to I-17. However, about a mile E of gthe lot there was a sharp rock dropoff and a SUV stuck trying to climb over... More

A fun and historical ride up to some amazing views of Sedona. Be sure you have 4-wheel drive! Even more fun on an official tour or with someone familiar with the area who can give a history lesson and tell about the things you see on the trip. But still a great adventure if you do it on your own!

We'd heard what a great road this was for views, etc. It is riddled with boulders the size of small cars, and washboard doesn't even begin to describe it. Though it's only 17 miles, it took us over 2 hours to get from one end to the other. While it's true there are some scenic views, they can be had... More

We got married in 1993 near cow pie trail off of Schnebly. Wonderful scenery and nice hiking. The road has seriously deteriorated since then; don't take a normal SUV up there let alone a regular car. High clearance only.
