Nice place to cool of in creek after a good hike. Great spot for families and picnics. Great views and pet friendly.

This well maintained state park has a large picnic area and a couple of unguarded swimming holes on the Oak Creek, a fairly cold stream. Stroll around, follow the paths, and you get some really nice photos of the surrounding red rocks. Highly recommended as a short and easy place to hike. Cost $10 to get in, with a map... More

Not a great place to go right now because of the fires. The water is muddy. It is a great place for a picnic and playing in the creek and hiking to see views of Cathedral Rock.

You have seen the many photos of Cathedral Rock reflected in Oak Creek ... this is the photo spot but it will cost you $10 to enter the park. Grab your camera and swim trunks ... you can jump in the watering hole, slide down slick rock, take photos, and build a cairn in the vortex area. RECOMMEND: ask a... More

Loved the area, great hike by water. Lots of opportunities to walk and swim in the creek. It wasn't much of a secret so recommend going earlier in the morning to make sure you find a parking spot. Otherwise great to go to either as a couple, family or by yourself.

Thanks to the help of other trip advisor folks, we knew about this place. We LOVED it. We went here because Slide Rock was closed and it ended up being a great day for us. We swam, hiked and swam some more. It was really beautiful and having the option to jump in the water when we were hot was... More

Crescent Moon is a great spot for all ages, with a spectacular red rock view of Cathedral Rock. There is a swimming hole as well as many slippery rocks to slide on. Up the river is another swimming spot and views. Lots of trees, water to splash in or swim in. We often go to Crescent Moon instead of Slide... More

Spent a week and saw great vistas of the red rock monuments, from below and above. While driving on the Red Rock loop road west of Sedona I saw Red Rock Crossing listed on the map. The kiosk looked like typical park service kiosk so I showed them my National Park Service Senior pass but was told it was not... More

Went to get the good view of Cathedral Rock and got some of the best pictures of the trip. Paved trail on the right, just after the entrance booth, leads to the water and the best views. It's seriously 2-3 minutes to walk to the creek. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

This was my second time visiting this park and I'm glad that I went back because I viewed much more of the park this time. It was a beautiful day and I found a beautiful shaded area where you can hike along the creek. Right across the creek you could see the Templeton trail and Cathedral Rock. It was also... More
