Dinner at sunset on this mesa was a very pleasant experience. The outdoor dining allows guests to get a wide view of the darkening sky.

Another of the must stops if in Sedona. A crowd gathers every night to watch the sunset above the mountains west of Sedona. It offers views that are unmatched in the area and there are no other locations that we know that offers the vista of this area. While we have always gone for the sunset, it is an excellent... More

Due to construction, the trail with the best view was closed so we settled for the view at the very top. Even at 6 am there were a lot of people.

I took a jeep tour that included Airport Mesa. At the mesa, you can see all of Sedona and beyond. Our guide told us about the history of the city and some of the celebrities that lived or live there now.

Take in the tree with the stone cairns. Feel the tingling energy. Climb for the views. Easy access. Parking might be a trick as it is so easy to access, but worth circling to find one. There is another spot further on to catch evening sunsets. Look for it near a great little restaurant.

Plenty of parking at the top of this scenic overlook. If you want a panoramic view of the grandeur that is West Sedona, this is the place to be, especially at sunset. WOW! What a view! Don't forget to bring your camera!

worth the self - denial to roll outta bed at dark thirty to view the sunrise, full of awe over the spectacular rock glow as the sun hit and the hot airballoons that took off down canyon as well.

My husband loves aviation, so for us we loved watching the bi-planes and prop planes take off and land. The view of the Sedona area from the view area is stunning!

We came here twice, and it was WAY TO CROWDED and for me, I want some peace. We parked and there is a trail down to the Airport Vortex. There is a fence with a door, and it looks as if it's closed, but it's only to keep deer off the airport tarmac. Open, and walk down a bit and... More
