This was a great 4 plus mile round trip hike. There are elevation changes which require some climbing but the trail is well maintained and not difficult. The view from the top is spectacular. Go early and you could have the top to yourself. If you arrive at the top after 10 you run a very good chance of being... More

What spectacular views at the end of the medium length trail. The trail head seemed crowded and noisy but we were quickly into a quieter section. Easy elevation changes on the way out. Good for all ages. Because of its relative flatness, there were too many mountain bikers, although they were courteous. The views were worth it though, going both... More

This was probably our favorite hike. We went to Chicken Point and got lucky that we were the only ones at Chicken Point for about 20 minutes before some Pink Jeeps showed up. The hike is easy with a few tougher spots. Be sure and go all the way to Chicken Point for the FANTASTIC views!

Great trail for foot or bike. Rugged yet not too tough. You can go as far as you wish, for miles if you wish.

Great hike with beautiful views at the end (Chicken Point). Didn't see any chickens or natural features that looked like chickens, but the hike was through some nice pinyon-juniper forest with a very worthy lookout as a final reward.

This is a pretty easy hike but wonderful views. It is an out and back to Chicken Point and will take you 2 hours at a pretty leisurely pace. Did it in winter but not much shade if doing it in the summer. Fine for a family with kids.

Easy to moderate hike. Not too much shade, so bring alot of water. Follow Little Horse Trail about 2 miles in and you will be at the base of Coffee Pot, and arrive at Chicken Point. Nice views and good for kids. Early morning is ideal as minimal crowds and cooler conditions.

This trail is a little mundane if you've taken, for example, one of the loop trails to the south in the Bell Rock-Courthouse Butte area, but it has a couple of nice features that still merit the high rating given here. One is that it goes to Chicken Point, a "cow pie" feature that you can scale and from which... More

We enjoyed this trail, however, several other trails run into it, it's not well marked and very easy to get lost. If your navigational skills are up to par, don't miss it - really lovely!
