Mike provides first rate advice, guidance and service. He has some good quality merchandise, and whilst it is a little more expensive than elsewhere, the advice they also provide makes their products a bargain. Mike's advice on trails is very helpful and his maps are accurate and up to date. All in all, well worth the effort to pull over,... More

Being avid hikers my wife and I appreciate specific, helpful and knowledgeable advice. That is exactly what we got from Mike at the hike house. ... well equipped for a small shop, it's a pleasure above the conglomerates with little comprehensive experience and knowledge. The recommended hike was a #10 ... and the map we purchased was invaluable ...

Ok so yeah...they do have free advice and will spend a ton of time explaining your options and they do a great job....but please be sure to purchase SOMETHING from them. I chose to buy their trail book for $20 but if it wasn't for all of us spending money they wouldn't be around so please help places like this... More

Every time we visit Sedona our first stop is the Hike House. They have specialized gear, boots, packs, socks, clothing... All you need from the novice hiker to expert. More than their products, everyone who works there is extremely knowledgeable in the areas hikes. You tell them your ability level, what you'd like to see and tell send you there.... More

Parking is almost non-existent, the selection is really limited, prices are way, way higher than anywhere I've ever lived or shopped.

A Chicago friend told us we had to drop into the Hike House. After day one of hiking and sore feet, sunburned scalp and feeling like the novices we were; we did. The guys here were superb!! Kitted us out in hiking shoes that fit properly, which trails to hike (THANK YOU Greg Stevenson; The Sedona Hiking Guide book is... More

Talk about specialized, the Hike Store is all about hiking. And, they have an associates uhh, I guess "hiking" (or other sports) "bar" where they serve special (non-alcoholic) drinks and teas, some designed for stamina.

First stop when arriving in Sedona for hiking should be The Hike House. Buy Sedona Trails Map. Not only do get a great map but the advise from the staff is invaluable. After visiting with us, they marked their suggestions on the map and identified some of the landmarks for us. Be sure to put their phone number in your... More

I have nothing but the highest praise for the Hike House!! Not only did they give us great trail information and fit my husband with a fantastic pair of shoes (after the ones he bought at home to bring to Sedona turned out not to fit well), but most importantly they went out of their way to help us after... Don't start your hiking experience until you stop by the Hike House! Jason helped us out and could not have made our visit better! He not only gave us accurate, in-depth hiking advice, but also provided great food reccomendations and tips on the local area. We would go back again just for the exceptional customer service- and they have a... More
