Wow! Wow! Wow! Jason was extremely helpful with helping me get my first pack! But, as a private guide, his information on Sedona as well as the Grand Canyon is unequaled! He gave us maps and countless fantastic tips! Military discount on gear, too!

We entered this shop and saw lots of interesting hiking gear. We are basic beginners and asked for help to find a "grandma trail" they assisted and we had a beautiful day. We also bought the most incredible cookies (humungous) for our enjoyment. They proved to be a super fuel needed when we took the wrong path off the "grandma... More

When we went to the Hike House, my family and I were immediately shown a map and sharpies, used to show many different trails and potential hikes. We chose to do West Fork and Devil's Bridge. We were told how many miles each hike was and approximately how long it would take. It turns out that they were pretty accurate!... More

Went looking for a good hike to do for a beginner (me being 15 and my sister being 12). We were recommended many fun and short yet thrillingly challenging hikes, and we had a great time. A great place to go for instructions and directions on where to hike based on skill level.

Extremely helpful, staff knew the area perfectly and had their own favorites to share. Then I broke my sunglasses and was horrified that the cheapest once they sold were $50.00. Stay out of their merchandise section unless you have very deep pockets.

This is an excellent resource for hikers. They have equipment, shoes and clothing, food for the trail, and best of all, expert advice. We were shown on a map, with hand written instructions, exactly what would be a good hike for our ability and time allowed. It was our best hike! If we ever go back to this area, this... More

We wanted to do a hike in the Red Rock forests and came to the Hike House to get some supplies and probably advice on trekking in that area. We received a lot more than we bargained for. The guy in the shop was extremely helpful and knew the area inside out. We took his advice and did the West... More

I really wish there was a Hike House at every place we hike! They offer an amazing service. They are seriously helpful in planning hikes, where to go and not to go for your ability, etc. We are very experienced hikers and really benefited from Mike's excellent advise on where to go and what we could skip. We loved it... More
