After a lovely, sometimes "white knuckle" drive through Oak Creek Canyon, it was fitting to view our journey from the vista overlook. The skies were clear, so we were able to view the changing scenery, and multiple switchbacks, through which we had traveled to the top of the canyon. The views are dramatic, and, to me, reminiscent of the lower... More

The view of the red rocks and the valley greenery contrast with the desert in a plesant way. The formations seem to be more massive here than those surrounding Sedona town.

Awesome to stand at the overlook and look down upon the switchbacks that you just navigated or are about to navigate

Driving to here from Sedona requires navigating through a series of switch backs. Once you get there, the view is well worth the effort. An added bonus are the many Native American Artists and Vendors who were selling authentic Native American Jewelry, Ornaments and Crafts. I liked the idea that the money I spent there would most likely go directly... More

Going up the switchbacks at the end of Oak Creek is a thrill, but the view at the top takes your breath away. There is also a Ntive American open air market. Well worth the ride.

We drove up from Sedona and really enjoyed the views. Be sure to stop at this overlook and walk all the way to the very end of the sidewalk from the parking lot. There is a great explanation of the rock layers there. If you are interested in Native American crafts, there are a lot of vendors with gorgeous, well-made... More

We stopped on our way to the Flagstaff Airport from Sedona. The vista opens at 8:00am, but we got there earlier and still walked along the trail while people were setting up for the day. Beautiful view of mountains with a running creek. Nicely maintained rest stop.

Well worth the drive north from Sedona. You can look down on the switch-backs it took to travel to the top.

Very simply but breathtaking view! Not the red rocks of Sedona, but more wooded and a high view of the creek.
