We drove up from Sedona and really enjoyed the views. Be sure to stop at this overlook and walk all the way to the very end of the sidewalk from the parking lot. There is a great explanation of the rock layers there. If you are interested in Native American crafts, there are a lot of vendors with gorgeous, well-made... More

We stopped on our way to the Flagstaff Airport from Sedona. The vista opens at 8:00am, but we got there earlier and still walked along the trail while people were setting up for the day. Beautiful view of mountains with a running creek. Nicely maintained rest stop.

Well worth the drive north from Sedona. You can look down on the switch-backs it took to travel to the top.

Very simply but breathtaking view! Not the red rocks of Sedona, but more wooded and a high view of the creek.

This was a great, easy drive from Uptown Sedona. It winds up the mountain. If you are afraid of heights or hairpin turns, you might want to avoid it. Otherwise, it was a lovely road experience. At the top, Native American Indians sell their handmade jewelry etc. Lovely and reasonable. If you don't want to take the 45 min trip... More

Quick stop for a lovely view of the canyon. Some vendors with their crafts on site. They were all very pleasant and laid back.

Beautiful overview of the Oak Creek Canyon Drive and an excellent board at the far end of the walkway explaining the geology of the canyon.

This is close to town, an easy drive and well worth it. Beautiful spot for pictures, and without a lot of walking for those who cannot hike.

The canyon is a gorgeous drive full of nature and of course the beautiful red rocks. There are a few waterfalls along the drive after a rain.

Drove up Hwy 89A through Oak Creek Canyon, it takes about 30-45 minutes depending on how often you stop to look at the breathtaking views. At the top of the Canyon is an overlook that is a look back at how high you have climbed the winding, switchbacks to travel through this scenic route. We could hear Oak Creek roaring... More
