Beautiful! Hwy 89A is such a great drive with such opportunities to see geological beauty on a smaller scale than Grand Canyon. Yes, this canyon you do drive into unlike its big brother to the north! Great viewing and cooler winds than further south in summer! Stop awhile and take in a deep view of creation and a breath of... More

Amazing view of Oak Creek Canyon. This outlook is really large with a big parking lot and nice restrooms as it is usually pretty crowded. There are also scheduled days when Native Americans offer things to buy, but not sure of the actual timing. This is a breath-taking view any time of the year--although the drive up to and down... Along with the fab view from the overlook, there's a market-style row of outdoor stalls selling beautiful hand made Native American jewellery and crafts. Prices start at around $5 for a bracelet, there's a huge range of goodies. Absolutely worth stopping by.

Excellent view of canyon from this overlook. The day we visited it also had a outdoor market by native Indian and we bought a chain for our daughter. Very dramatic view of mountains and canyon and even the twisting road thru the mountains

Amazing views. You can see some signs of previous fire scars, and those pine trees infested with mountain pine beetle.... yet we still love stopping here and taking in the sites and sounds.

This is a great place to pull over after you've traveled up State Route 89A through Oak Creek Canyon from Sedona. There are illustrated interpretive signs that cover what kind of wildlife is native to this area and the views at the edge of the overlook are beyond stunning! Picnic areas are just off the parking lot, as well as... More

It's hot weather so any hiking should be in the morning with several liters of water on board. Given that a nice drive uo Oak Creek Canyon is a lot of fun and one of the best drives in the country. Go thru the switchbacks and at the top on the right is the overlook, and it's breathtaking

The nice thing about this particular overlook is that you get to drive through Oakcreek Canyon, seeing all the beautiful rocks pine trees and gorgeous homes in the canyon. Once you get to the overlooks find a place to park the views of this canyon are stunning but I must tell you as well they have a lot of Indian... More

Not bad if you can't leave the pavement but the overlook doesn't do justice to the beauty of Oak Creek Canyon. Hey, at least they have bathrooms.
